3 Days Later.

In lotus pier , it was very peaceful just a normal sunny day as it is always.

Jiang Fengmian and Yu Ziyuan were eating snacks in the shade at the training field , they were hungry after watching the disciples train .

Then they heard running footsteps , they looked at one of the yunmeng jiang disciples who were running to them with a letter on their hand

The disciples that were training stopped to look at the haggard running disciple who ran to Jiang Fengmian and Yu Ziyuan with a letter on his hand.

The disciple bowed " Jiang-Zhongzhu , Yu-Furen " the disciple said.

Yu Ziyuan looked at the disciple "What is it?" She asked in a sharp tone which is her normal tone.

The disciple extended the letter with his two hands "Its a letter from Gusulan" the disciple said while standing straight

Jiang Fengmian asked " Gusu lan?" He made eye contact with Yu Ziyuan and looked back at the disciple.

The disciple nodded and Jiang Fengmian extended his hand to recieve the letter from the disciples hand.

Yu Ziyuan went near Jiang Fengmian and they read the contents of the letter.

As you see , My nephew Lan Wangji has shown his expression to us that
He would court your 3rd Child . Jiang Ying , courtesy name Wuxian.
And Your 3rd child had accepted the courtship with happiness.

I hope our clans will be closer at the courtship of these children as we would be in-law's in the future.

Jiang Fengmian and Yu Ziyuan looked at the letter in shock.

Yu Ziyuan's eye twitched and Zidian sparked strongly.

She was VERY happy that her 3rd child found love and brought an alliance for the yunmeng jiang and gusu lan.

BUT , why did Lan Wangji not ask THEIR PERMISSION to court THEIR second son?!

The disciples were curious and confused of what was happening.

Jiang Fengmian sighed and rubbed his head and thought the same thing Yu Ziyuan was thinking about.

Jiang Fengmian looked at the disciples that were like confused ducklings

He said " I have an announcement"

The disciples gathered together and huddled closer .

Jiang Fengmian said " Your Er-shixiong , Jiang Wuxian accepted Lan Er-gongzi's courtship"

Shock gasps resounded in the training yard

"  ER-SHIXIONG IS ENGAGED TO LAN ER-GONGZI?!" Was heard everywhere in lotus pier.

Then the townspeople heard that and started gossiping about it

"Jiang Er-gongzi is engaged to lan Er- gongzi?"

" YES YES , i knew even the coldest of ice cant resist our jiang er-gongzi!"

They all laughed cheerfully , the maidens and misters that heard that had a crush on Jiang wuxian or lan wangji . That why many people are seen drunk in wine shops or on the road pass out drunk.

But all of them were happy for them.

Jiang fengmian sent a positive reply to cloud recessess saying he accepts it only because his son accepted it .

Now back to cloud recessess

Jiang wuxian was walking back and fourth very nervous of his Father's and mothers reaction.

Lan wangji tried calming Jiang wuxian but it was no use.

' what if a-niang and a-die doesnt accept it? , What if they engage me to someone that is not lan zhan? , What if they would never love me again? , What if they would be mad at me liking a boy even if they say they accept it? , What if ill never see lan zhan again? ' Jiang wuxian's brain went to different thoughts each and every single one adds more oil to his burning anxiety.

Then they heard a knock on the door "Jiang er-gonzi , Lan er-gongzi . Grandmaster Lan called for both of you" a voice said outside the door.

They went out the room and fast walked to lan qiren's office.

They went inside directly since lan qiren's door is always open till 9:00pm.

They both bowed "Shufu" they both said

Lan qiren said " mm, wangji , wuxian . As you see i have sent the letter to jiang fengmian 3 days ago ."

He placed the letter infront of them

"This is Jiang fengmian and Yu-furen's reply" he said.

Jiang wuxian and Lan wangji stepped forward and went behind lan qiren and lan qiren opened the letter.

Lan er-gongzi felt relief washing in his body , he released also the breath he has been holding although only silently.

Lan qiren smiled after reading the letter  .

He said " wangji , wuxian . I will hire a matchmaker and make her go to lotus pier for the birth dates for the wedding"

Jiang wuxian smiled and blushed while Lan wangji had a indifferent face but his ears were red.

Lan qiren looked at both of them " Oh , you can go now" he said.

Both of them bowed respectfully and went outside.

Lan wangji grabbed Jiang wuxian and pulled him towards the jingshi with a cold face. Meanwhile , Jiang wuxian had a resigned expression but with a delighted smile on his face
