All she could think was, "It's hard." Calming herself, she stared at the person lying in the hospital bed. Those eyes were the source of joy in her otherwise dull life. Nandini Murthy, who is twenty-seven years old, never expected to discover love in her best friend Vansh after her first heartbreak. She didn't expect this person to make her forget about her terrible memories and replace them with their own happy ones.
As he glanced at the one lady he had ever loved, he had his constant, never-fading smile on his face. He leaned out to take her hand, and after successfully grasping it, he returned his attention to her, moving from their arm to her face. She returned the smile and added softly, "Come on, we have a flight to catch." His grin grew even wider. Finally, they'll be in a place where they'll be alone. This is his one and only wish. The last one. When everything was going well, falling prey to the acute sickness was the last thing he expected to happen. He determined that all he needed was his love and to die in her arms with a smile, the instant he realised he wouldn't live. He desired to retreat to a place where they could be alone. He and Nandini, his first and only love.
He adored her and she was well aware of it. He'd rather die in her arms than spend his final days surrounded by medications and physicians in a hospital bed. Nandini knew her spouse like the back of her hand; all he wants is to be in her company. Even when death is on the horizon, all he needs is her. He came out of the hospital room, dressed casually, with pride in having the best woman as his wife. Her name might be seen peeking out of his chest if you looked attentively. He strolled out of the hospital, his hand around her slim waist. She was eager to make the most of the limited time they had as they travelled to the airport. Make every experience memorable for the rest of your life. They talked for a long time until the plane arrived at their destination.
1 year later, India.
Nandini stood at the airport with her baby belly, seeking her brother-in-law. He's been gone for 5 months now, leaving her with his memories. She had accepted the truth that he was no longer with her and was waiting for her on the other side.
He left a piece of himself with her when he departed. It's their child. She will live for him, with his kingdom in hand and his aspirations to accomplish. She recalls telling him about the baby.
"Love, even if I'm not around. I'm at peace, and you have a piece of me in you that you will guard until the day you return to me. Let her/him know how much I love you and our tiny love on a daily basis. Tell them that Papa fought the stars and found a spot in the sky where they could see him every night. Read my message to my little darling and encircle them in my affection."
She was immersed in thought, touching her small bump, when she was dragged into a hug, into familiar arms. Vansh, her adoring brother-in-law, was a carbon duplicate of his older brother, Manik, her love.
He carefully guided her to the car. "Look after my Nandini, Vansh." She's already been through enough battles on her own; I want you to be there to hug her when I can't. All I want is that you protect my tiny love, my brother." He remembered his brother's comments from the previous time they spoke, and he confided in him, entrusting him with his sister-in-law and their child, whom he pledged to safeguard until his dying breath.
They were incomplete without him, but they promised him that they would live for him and that they would move forward with him in their hearts every day. That is a promise they want to keep indefinitely.
She stepped into her hotel the next morning, eager for her meeting. When she walked into the office, her gaze was drawn to the table, where he was looking at her with a cute grin in the photograph and a short note tugging at its end. She had never noticed it before, and as she took it in her hand, tears welled up in her eyes. "Hey, shortcake, are you missing me? I'm missing you as well." "I love you, Manik," she said, and strode into the conference room with even more determination, her guards encircling her, waiting for her command. She inhaled deeply and gently caressed the M pendant.
"Everyone needs to see you're mine, Nandu," he whispers, and she can still hear him.
The familiar faces in the meeting room caught her off guard. They, too, appear surprised. Introduce her to them through Manik's secretary, who is now hers: Gentlemen, meet Mrs. Manik Malhotra. Dhruv was taken aback. Cabir gave her a grim smile. It's evident that they weren't expecting her to show up. Her baby belly was hardly noticeable, and they were visibly taken aback. Everyone took their seats, and she noticed Vansh getting ready to give his presentation. She caught his eye and gave him a warm smile and a nod. Vansh couldn't stop the smile that had spontaneously appeared on his face. "oi, duffer, make me proud! " He can hear him cheering loud him with sparkling eyes.
Vansh handled the proposal beautifully, catching Nandini's proud expression. Manik is standing next to her, proudly looking at him and mouthing "you-got-it." Nandini's gaze was fixed on her young boy during the conference, who had become too comfortable standing in front of businesspeople, providing sharp answers to every question hurled at him. She didn't miss to notice the constant stare she received in the midst of everything.
The meeting went well, and they were awarded a new contract. Vansh took it upon himself to finish the paperwork. Cabir took advantage of the opportunity to say a few words to her: "Hey, it's been a while. How are you doing?" "I'm fine, Cabir," Nandini said. Vansh returned at that point, and Nandini introduced him: "Meet my brother-in-law, Vansh Malhotra." Both exchanged a smile and a handshake. "your husband?" Vansh wrapped his hand over Nandini's shoulder as Cabir inquired. "He is no longer with us.""I'm sorry," Cabir answered, surprised. Nandini cut him off, rubbing her bump and saying, "Don't be, he loved me so much that he gave part of himself in me." Cabir looked at the proud woman in front of him and said, "Congrats Nandini."
That tiny college girl, who had those innocent eyes filled with anguish, is long gone, and she is no longer the girl his brother abandoned for another. Instead of her, there stood a woman with her head held high and an empire under her command. They turned to see Dhruv as they heard someone clearing their throat, but Nandini appeared unmoved and responded, "yes, Mr.Vendat?" Dhruv wished he could ask a lot of questions, but he couldn't. He wasn't expecting to meet her here, but it's not like he didn't know she was married; in fact, Manik had paid him a brief visit before their wedding:"I'm sure you're startled I'm here, Mr. Vendat. But I'm only telling you that I'm grateful for your mistakes for you lost the most lovely woman. That doesn't make your deed or her grief any less painful. But I guarantee you, you will see her proudly standing in front of you in the not-too-distant future. For you, she was just another female, but she is my queen." Those were his exact words that day and today its the reality.
Without him, she was no queen, but he made her the queen of his heart and empire. With pride, she stands in front of those who previously broke her.
A tiny series of images regarding Manik, Nandini, and Vansh begins here. This is my first attempt to write one shots.Hopefully, their depth and affection will captivate your heart.
kindly leave a comment or two, that would make my day regardless of criticism or praise your words are valued.
