"Kneel !" he screamed.

The people were scared, they slowly started to kneel. Loki was smiling mischievously, you've never seen him that way; enjoying hurting people. He was sweating, something was wrong, you knew it. His scepter was shining in his hand, you didn't know how he got it, the last time you saw him, he was falling from the Bifrost. Something was wrong.

"Kneel? Didn't you find anything better ?" you said, getting closer to him and standing in front of everyone. "That's disappointing."

Your voice was sure, steady, and clear. He frowned his eyes all over you and a sadic smile on his lips.

"Your disappointment won't last, I promise you it will get very satisfying, it's only a matter of time."

"Before you start to kill everybody ?" you asked, you were trying to control the shiver of your hands.

"Exactly," he answered, a crazy glint in the back of his eyes.

Now you were scared too.

"Too bad for you, it won't happen." you proclaimed instead.

"Why? Because you'll stop me ?"

"Exactly."

You jumped from where you were standing, hands and knees in front of you, you knew how to fight, how to kick to the ground the worst enemy, but is that what you wanted? Kicking him to the ground, surrendering his ass to the police or the Avengers? No, you wanted to find out what was wrong with him, and you will, without their help.

"You can't defeat me, I'm stronger than you," he tried, his stupid stick was avoiding you to get closer.

"You know you're not," you just answered, he didn't notice your left foot, it was your turn to piss him off.

Your feet went straight in the abdomen, squeezing his lungs and taking out the air. You were on the top of him, his scepter far away from his grip, with just a single uppercut to the face you wedged him from moving. Your legs were on his and your hands trying to make him stop moving.

"Who's stronger now ?" you exhaled, you were so exhausted.

"It's still me, worthless bug."

And then he was in your head. You were falling, your grip on him fading away and you felt him getting on his feet. But at the same time, you couldn't feel anything, the world was shut up, the lights were off, your heart almost stopped beating. Afterward, a room appeared around you, the walls were covered with splendid wallpaper, the floor was made of dark wood, and everything was illuminated by a golden chandelier.

The furniture started to materialize, a king-size bed, quickly followed by the biggest dressing you've ever seen and a pinky couch. Relaxing music was played in the background, you had no idea where the player was. But, strangely, you didn't care. All of your worries were gone. You were so relaxed, for the first time in a while. You couldn't remember why you were so pissed, this place seemed so peaceful, why would you be nervous and angry? But it didn't matter, you were here now, the reason of the why and the how didn't matter.

"Y/N? Honey? Are you home ?" someone asked, the voice was soft and made you thawed even more.

"Yes, I'm right here," you answered, as if it was natural for you to be in a bedroom who was that incredible.;

As if it was all yours.

The door opened, letting you discover the man, dark-haired, green eyes, coming in. His smile got brighter when he saw you.

"How was work ?" you asked.

"Great, very great."

He put his coat and his hat on the coat rack, you didn't know you had one.

"How was your day ?"

"Better now," you replied, your lips spreading into a smile as bright as his.

He didn't say anything, he just put his hands on your hips and kissed you. Your hands went for his hair, everything seemed so natural for you. His lips were asking you to intensify the kiss, which you did with great pleasure. Your eyes were closed, you could only feel him, but you knew he was here, you knew it.

"It could have been that way, you know. " he said, standing up.

"What ?"

"Your life could have been like that, you safe at home, with me."

Loki.

The room was fading, the walls becoming darker and darker.

"What are you doing ?" you said, fear in your voice, in your body.

"I didn't do anything, you did this, you killed that version of us."

"What are you talking about ?"

You were back in New York, the street light blinded you for a brief moment. You weren't standing anymore, you were on the floor, kneeling. You stood up, Loki was fighting with Rogers and Stark. He didn't even notice you, he was focused on taking back his scepter.

He tricked you, damn it Y/N ! you thought with burning anger.

The memory of the peace you've felt was still here, somewhere in your subconscious you wanted to have it back. Damn it.
