Nightmare woke up early in the morning, he put his mask and poncho on, then began walking towards the nether portal that would lead him to L'manberg. He traveled all the way back to where Tommy was exiled, and went through the portal there, his hand slightly shaking. 

Nightmare walked through the nether to the main hub portal and went through, once he arrived Nightmare pulled out a menu and messaged Dream, "I'm at the hub portal, where are you?" 

"I'm in L'manberg working on the grid," Dream responded, "Meet me in the Community House." Nightmare closed the menu and walked down to the Community house and waited for Dream when a large man walked in. 

"Who the fuck are you?!" shouted the man, drawing his sword, "And how did you get here!?" Nightmare was caught off guard by the man's sudden aggression. The man lunged towards Nightmare, knocking him backward. Nightmare drew his scythe and blocked another strike from the man. 

"Speak!" The man shouted, kicking Nightmare in the side. Nightmare was flung into the air, he spun around and landed on his feet, and charged towards the man winging his scythe sideways. The man blocked the hit with the head of a trident, flexed his arm, and hit Nightmare in the side with the butt end of it, knocking Nightmare to the floor once again.

"Sam." Dream said, raising his sword, pointing it at Sam, "I advise getting away from my apprentice before I tell him to properly fight you." 

Sam put his trident away. Dream nodded, both him and Nightmare put away their weapons. 

"Sam," Dream said, "This is Nightmare, he's my apprentice, and he's mute." 

Sam became visibly embarrassed, "I'm so sorry Nightmare, I didn't know you were mute." he bowed his head, "here, please take a regeneration potion as my apology." 

Nightmare took the potion and signed 'Thank you.' Sam nodded, his face was still covered in embarresment. Sam continued on to the nether portal, once he was a safe distance away, 

Nightmare spoke, "Do you have any food for me? I walked all the way here and fought Sam with no food, I'm starving." Dream pulled out some steak, golden apples, and potions, then handed them to Nightmare.

"Thanks." 

"No problem." Dream said, "Now, I would like for you to be stationed on top of Eret's tower, it'll give you a better vantage point and make it easier for you to teleport as it's not as far away." 

Nightmare nodded, "I'll go get in position."

Nightmare ran out of The Community House towards L'manberg, once the beginnings of the grid were in view, Nightmare closed his eyes, droplets of a strange black oil-like substance surrounded him until he was fully covered, then the liquid came splashing down, and Nightmare was gone. 

The same droplets now appeared on the first level of Eret's large tower, overlooking L'manberg. Nightmare walked out of the substance then pulled out a menu and messaged Dream, "I'm in position." 

'Never thought I'd be back here..' He thought, putting the menu away, and looked out on the land that was once Tommy's home, 'Let alone be back to blow this shitole to nothing.' He sat on the edge of the tower and took in the view, the familiar scent, the beauty of the place, letting the wind ruffle his hair, letting memories he had here come back to his mind, he could only remember war, pain, and exile... Those weren't Nightmare's memories, they were Tommy's, and Nightmare would get revenge for that boy.

Writers note: Hi- yeah so like I said previously I never watched the Doomsday streams so the next chapter is going to be VERY inaccurate.

 Now to explain the "black oil" stuff- as stated in the description of this story, some people are gods, Tommy is the god chaos, and has abilities that come from being a god, such as; Teleportation, shape-shifting, (he mainly only has small features such as a tail and ears, and will use them strategically). He's got more but if I told you it'd make the rest of the story more boring, but once they come up I'll explain them. :)
