I felt my heart drop when the plane descended onto the ground and the pilot announcing our arrival in Sydney, Australia. I took off my seatbelt after the long plane trip from the US, sighing with relief. I heard the rest of the lads call out my name to get out of the plane. Paul was behind us guiding us through the exit of the plane and through the tunnel to enter the airport. I clenched my fists as we entered the airport, expecting the vast amount of paparazzi to greet us with their “warm welcome”. I put my green snapback on my disaster of what I called hair. We walked to collect our bags, cameras still flashing all around us.
I lifted my bags up with a sigh and rolled them out the doors of the airport and into the van. After a few moments I saw Liam jump into the van along with Harry, Louis then Zayn. Liam sat beside me and we took a long breath together, it had been a long day, we were all tired but surprisingly could not fall asleep in the van. After about twenty minutes we reached the hotel and of course were awaited by the paparazzi. I could not be more frustrated.
Paul signaled to go inside and check in, he would help the bell boy to bring the luggage in. We all walked past the flashes going off by us, into the lobby. The worker gave us all a key to our rooms, sharing my room with Liam. Zayn with Harry. Louis had a whole room to himself. As soon as I opened my hotel room door I collapsed on the large and comfortable bed. Liam did the same. Moments after there was a knock at our door, Liam opened it to find the bell boy with our luggage. I watched as he brought them and sat them in a corner of our room, tipping the uniformed man with a 20. The bell boy smiled as he said,
“Have a nice stay boys”
We both returned the smile and thanked him. Only a few seconds had passed after our door was shut closed then flung open again by a tall curly hair figured that I recognized to well.
“C’mon lads were off to find some adventure!”
He announced and I laughed at his choice of words. Liam was already dozing off so I was pulled off and dragged out of our hotel room. As we made our way down the lift and out the doors, surprisingly there was no paparazzi waiting outside for us. I felt quite relieved and Harry swung his arm over my shoulder as he told me,
”Right, what do we do first?”
I shrugged and kept walking around the streets of Sydney, the cold wind hitting my skin and clouds forming in the dark sky. It was currently 7:37 pm and it had been about 20 minutes that we had been walking around. We found a few clubs, but they didn’t look too pleasant, so we kept walking. I heard music playing softly, even though there was pumping music all around us. The sound of the guitar strings being strummed and a soft voice being heard singing a tune that could make my heart melt. I was literally being attracted to where the tune was coming from.
I finally found the pub the music was coming from, Harry trying to catch up to me. Making my way into the room I picked a table with two seats, for me and my curly haired friend. The room was about half filled and the girl that was singing her song walked off the stage. I watched as the audience applauded her performance as I bought Harry and I a pint each. Moments after I saw a man get on stage and introduce the next act. She walked on stage with her guitar, long, fair hair flowing down her back. I felt my eyes widen and my mind to become more alert as I leaned over to Harry and whisper in his ear,
“She’s beautiful. Lets hope her voice does it justice”
Harry smirked at my words, signaling that he agreed with me. I watched her carefully as she sat herself on the stool and introducing herself with a smile plastered on her face.
“Hello everyone, my names Emma, and this is Fix you”
She began to strum the chords, slowly and softly. As soon as she opened her mouth, my skin decided to form goosebumps all over and the hairs at the back of my neck sticking up. I could feel every single word she sang, closing her eyelids when she sang the most passionate words. As she sang I observed her features closer, her pale skin, her green-blue eyes, her lips, her legs, her fingers, her long fair hair. At that moment I realized, I had to have her. Maybe I was mad, but I felt like I was the only one in the room and she was singing to me.
I want her, I need her.
