Changbin lay in his bed, eyes glued to the wall as he thought deeply.

A sudden light emitting from his phone caused him to roll over and check, hoping to get a notification from the red head he missed so much, but only saw Chan's contact calling and decided to let it ring out, not in the mood to talk to anyone.

Once his phone turned off, Changbin closed his eyes as his playlist continued, currently playing A Soulmate Who Wasn't Meant to Be by Jess Benko.

He knew he should get over it, it's been a week since the boy left him distraught in the school bathroom and he ran home, not confronting any of his friends and simply, laying down, having hardly moved since.

His phone was constantly going off the past days and he didn't even feel guilty about ignoring his friends, he just needs to listen to the silence for a while, time heals all.. right?

He let out a small sigh as Handle It by Twice began to play, knowing the girl group is Felixs favourite, it only made him more sad and he let a single tear slip out.

It was his fault after all, he lied. He lied to the sweetest boy in the world and lost him because of him.

The boy almost jumped out of his skin when the door burst open to reveal Chan standing in the hallway, out of breath after running up the stairs.

"Close the door behind you" Changbin muttered quietly and the Australian obeyed, cautiously sitting on the end of his bed, leaving the light off as he knew its what the shorter preferred.

"Bin, I know it's been difficult, it was hard not to overhear what went down in the bathroom that day, but you can't stay in here forever."

Changbin nodded, not wanting to sit up and face him nor speak because he could already feel the tears falling, and he felt so pathetic right now.

Chan sighed and placed a hand on the boys shoulder. "Do you want me to leave?" he asked, not knowing what he wanted.

"No" Changbin let out a choked sob. "Please stay," he sat up and hugged the older, Chan wrapping his arms around him in return as he nodded.

"You know you're not alone, right? You didn't.. relapse.. or anything did you?" the older boy quietly asked as they separated from from hug.

Changbin looked down into his lap, not saying anything as he bit his lip, holding back more tears. He hated crying in front of people.

"Oh Bin.." Chan grabbed his hands and rubbed the back of them with his thumbs in a comforting way.

"I'm sorry.. I know I shouldn't have but I don't think I've felt this low in a while, Chan, I dont know what to do"

"You don't need to apologise, it's all part of the healing process, remember, now locking yourself in your room isn't going to help with these strong emotions so how about you and me go out hm? Just a walk along the beach or through the park, it's already 9pm so there won't be many people out, you don't have to worry about being judged, it's only me"

Changbin looked up and nodded. "That sounds.. nice"

"Great" Chan smiled, "I'll go get you your shoes and you can change into some clean clothes, and once we get back you are having a shower coz frankly, it smells like shit in here"

The younger boy chuckled and began to sit up from bed as his friend left the room.

After Changbin changed into the clean (but still comfy) clothes of sweatpants and a clean t shirt, he met Chan outside his room and they left together towards the beach.

The duo walked in the dark, a comfortable silence overtaking them as they wandered to no specific destination.

"So, how are you feeling after.. you know" Chan suddenly asked as they kept walking.

The shorter boy sighed and looked up to the sky. "I'm honestly not sure.. I mean, I know I'm the one at fault for lying to him but.. I don't know, I'm starting to think maybe he was too good for me in the first place."

"What?! Changbin, I don't know how blind you have to be to not notice that boy was crazy about you, I mean he even ranted to you about how much he liked you."

"Exactly my point, you're using past tense. Was crazy about me, ranting about how he liked me."

Chan sighed and placed his hands on the others shoulders, stopping their current momentum to speak. "Bin. He still is, trust me, you built up so much trust in each other, and whether he thought you were two different people or not, he still likes you, and with time he'll realise how amazing you, and whoever else he thought you were are, and if he can't see that then that's his loss, and you deserve someone better."

"Thanks, Chan, I don't know how you come up with all this inspiring shit on the spot of all your friends mental breakdowns." Said Changbin, earning a chuckle from the older.

"It's all up here" He pointed to his forehead as he smiled. "Built up knowledge from the many tantrums Jisung has had" The pair laughed as they continued their walk back to Changbins apartment, Chan deciding to stay the night.

It was 11 in the morning when the duo finally woke up, taking a couple minutes to fully open their eyes before leaving bed to get food.

As they were eating on the sofa Chan looked over at his friend, looking at his sunken eyes from lack of sleep, his scruffy hair, and sloppy outfit.

"You really should talk to him, Changbin, I'm sure he's in the same state as y-"

"No. No, he's- he's probably doing fine without me" Interrupted the other boy.

"Mate, listen to me. That boy was- is head over heels for you, and from your reaction to your fight I can tell the feelings mutual, don't even try to hide it." Chan said as he placed a hand on his friends shoulder.

"I just don't know.. I mean I've never even liked a guy before, and here I am going through another depressive episode because of one, stupid boy I never should've texted in the first place." Changbin mumbled, wringing his hands around.

The Australian sighed as he spoke again. "You don't have to be confident you like boys to like Felix, Bin, it could just be him."

Changbin hummed as he thought about it, could it be possible he only likes Felix?

"Now cmon, we need to get you out of the house to distract you from him, get your ass up, let's go shopping. We can get ice cream!" Said Chan as he stood up and dragged his friend away from the couch.

"I don't want to." Felix said, resisting the strength of Hyunjin and Minho pulling him out of bed.

"I don't care if you don't want to, you haven't left the house in a week lazy pig." Minho scoffed.

"I'm grieving" The youngest crossed his arms as he looked away.

"Grieving what?" Hyunjin asked, letting go of the boys ankles that he was pulling on.

"A broken relationship." he spat

"Oh boo hoo shorty muscly man hurt your feelings and now you're in a grump about it. GET OVER IT, he lied to you." Minho said whilst clapping in his face.

"Yeah, he did have nice muscles.." The freckled boy whispered, his mind in another place as his two friends sighed.

"We're going shopping, you show up to school as the hottest mother fucker around and show that asshole what hes missing."
