One evening you go to Shinobu Kocho's place. She invited you the previous day for a sleepover. You arrive to her place and Kanao greets you. She waves at you and lets you in.
"Oh hello Y/N!" A sweet voice was calling you.
"Hello Lady Shinobu," you said answering her sweet song like voice.
"There is no need for you to be formal with me, I've already told you that. Anyways, Y/N do you want to see my pet fish?"
"Sure..?"
You've never really been a fan of fishes. The only kind of fish that peeked your interests were Koi fish. You liked them because of their delicate looking moving patterns. You were expecting a more pretty looking or rather an elegant fish but when Shinobu showed her pet fish to you, you were kind of shocked. She had gotten a pet goldfish.
"You got a pet goldfish Shinobu? I expected you to get a more elegant fish.." Y/N said unsurprisingly
"Yes I did Y/N! I named the goldfish Fugu." Shinobu said eagerly.
Kanao walked into the room to grab something for Aoi. Aoi had left a butterfly hair clip because she was feeding the fish for Lady Shinobu. Kanao saw Lady Shinobu and Y/N playing with the goldfish through the bowl. Kanao flipped her coin. It landed on heads.
"Lady Shinobu, Y/N would you like anything while I'm up?" Kanao said with her sweet, soft voice.
"No thank you Kanao, We'll be fine," Shinobu said replying to Kanao with a sweet voice.
Kanao went to go return to her post outside while Shinobu and you were playing with the goldfish still. The goldfish was mesmerizing to look at. The shining scales going the opposite way of the fish's swimming patterns, the tail flowing back and fourth paddling to move forwards, and the little mouthing blubbing. It feels like it's trying to communicate with you.
-Some time later..-
"Okay Y/N, I think it's time for us to go to sleep. I'm getting kind of tired and I don't know if I'm going to get troubled with a job tomorrow." Shinobu discussed with you.
"Okay Shinobu, I'm getting fairly tired too." You said while holding back a yawn.
You guys get your futon's out and get comfy in them. Shinobu falls asleep before you. Meanwhile you are sitting there, staring up at the plain ceiling until you fall asleep..
