CH - 3

*Anirudh meets Sumati*

NEXT MORNING
Anirudh had already left for Devipur as he had promised Bondita to meet her mother !
He was very excited to meet her..Don't know why ? On the other hand..Bondita too was excited to meet him ..

IN DEVIPUR ,

" Maa , Tujhe yaad hai kal maine tujhe Anirudh Babu ke baare me bataya tha ? Tulsipur ke bade zamindar ke bete ?"

"Ha meri bachi ! Mujhe yaad hai.."

"To aaj.."

"To aaj wo mujhse milne aa rahe hai ! Mujhe yaad hai tune bataya tha ! Shayad tu hi bhul gayi ." Said Sumati , her mother

" Kitne ache insaan hai wo ! Warna iss samaj me aurton ki koi izzat hai kya ? Milta hai koi vidhwa se ? Ashubh hoti hai na vidhwaye !" She continued ..

"Maa , Ye to kaise baate kar rahi hai ? Ek maa kabhi ashudh ho sakti hai kya ? Bakiyon ka to nahi pata , Lekin meri maa to sabse achi aur pyaari hai "

They exchanged smiles !

"Knock ! Knock !" Soon they heard a knock on the door .

"Lagta hai Anirudh babu aa gye !" She exclaimed happily.

She opened the door but to her surprise , it was , Abhimanyu , a spoiled brat of Devipur , son of the famous landlords of Tulsipur !

"Kaisi ho janeman ? Aur sasu maa kaisi hai ?"

"Tum yaha kyu aaye ho Abhimanyu ?

"Apni hone wali patni se milne !"

"Mai tumhe kitni baar samjhau Abhi ? Mai tumse shadi nahi karna chahti ! Aur abhi to bilkul nahi ! " Her eyes were depicting her anger which was reaching its peak .

"Aise kaise nahi karegi ? Tujhe mujhse shadi karni padegi ! Mai tujhse bahut pyaar karta hu ! Tu bhi to karti hai na ! "

"Nahi ! Nahi ! Nahi ....Nahi karti mai tujhse pyaar ? Tum to Devipur ke ek ache Zamindar the na ! Phir kya ho gaya hai tumhe ? Kyu badal gaye tum itna ?"

"Tujhe pane ki chahat me ! Aur wo mai karke rahunga chahe uske liye mujhe kuch bhi kyu na karna pade !"

"Abhimanyu ! Abhimanyu ruk jaao ! Tum aisa kuch bhi nahi karego ! Thande dimaag se socho!!!! Abhimanyuuuu !!!"
But he LEFT ....

Bondita's father had once taken loan from Raghuvansh Khanna , Abhimanyu's father and he promised him to return it back ! But alas ! His father died....Somehow Sumati paid the debt but Abhimanyu kept on chasing her and began blackmailing her about her widow mother's despair...

Bondita sat there crying helplessly..Although Abhimanyu has not done anything beyond limits till now but she was scared of his warnings .

AFTER SOME TIME

Anirudh reached her house consulting from the villagers . He knocked . Bondita thought it's Abhimanyu , opened the door and without even looking she burst at him !

"Kya hai ? Tumhe samjaya haina ki mat karo mera peecha ! Nahi karti tumse pyaar ! Nahi karni tumse shadi ! Chale jao yaha se !!!"

"Thik hai phir mai chala jaata hoo" ARC said ..

Bondita bit her tongue when the realisation hit her ! He was about to leave when ...

"Are rukiye rukiye ! Maaf kar dijiye..Mujhe laga wo Abhim..."

"Koi baat nahi mai smjh sakta hoo !"

"Ab bahar hi khade rahenge yaa andar bhi aayenge ? Waise to mera ghar apke ghar jitna bada nahi hai..Lekin rehne layak hai !"

He entered ..Although it was a small house ( Not hut..They are not that much poor) but was beautifully decorated with paintings and photoframes ...He was welcomed by Sumati ...

He bent down to touch her feet when Sumati backed off .
"Ye kya kar rahe hai aap Anirudh Babu ? Vidhwa hoo mai..Mera aashirvaad lene se sirf paap hi chadhega aapko ! "

"Ye aap kaise baate kar rahi hai MAA ? Aa..Kya mai aapko maa bula sakta hoo..Meri koi maa nahi hai ...Bachpan me hi guzar gayi ! (Sumati nodded ) .."

He touched her feet and she hesitantly kept her hands on his head .

She made him sit and did his accountability as much as she can .

"Apne bare me aur bhi kuch bataiye Anirudh Babu " said Sumati.

"Mai London se Barristry ki padhai karke aaya hoo aur ab ek Barrister hoo "

"Baap re ! Aap Birristra Babu hai ? Waise aapko pata hai ..Mere baba chahte the ki mai ek kabil Barrister banu ! Isliye khud unhone mujhe ghar pe padhna - likhna sikhaya ! Wo dusre aadmiyon ki tarah nahi the jo sirf apni betiyon ko ghar me band rehkar chulah - chauka karna dekhna chahte the ! Lekin kuch dino baad wo ..wo hume chor ke chale gaye "
She became sad..

Anirudh hold her hands while both of their hearts skipped a beat .

"Tum chinta mat karo Bondita . Mujhse jitna ho sakega mai tumhari madad karunga "

"Hmm" She sighed sadly..

"Wo..please " She pointed towards their interwined hands..Anirudh understood the situation and he removed his hands and too became awkward but still their cheeks turned warm .

AFTER SOMETIME ,

"Anirudh Babu ...Agar aapke paas samay ho to Bondita ke saath Devipur ghum aayiye !"

"Mujhe maaf kar dijiye Maa lekin mai aaj nahi jaa sakta ! Mai yaha ek case ke silsile se aata hu ! Kal phirse aaunga ! Tab chala jaunga Bondita ke saath " He smiled...

"Thik hai Anirudh Babu ..Jaisa aap thik samjhe !"

Anirudh really loved their company..He had lost his mother when he was 10 but talking to Sumati , he felt a motherly affection from her . He received his fatherly love from Binoy and Trilochan but was starving for a mother's love but now when he met Sumati , he saw his mother in him...He too liked Bondita's company..She was so cute , so talkative , mischievous , brave and many more . He felt something different other than friendship when he met her . Her doe-shaped eyes , her chubby cheeks , her little nose ( Not like doreamon😆) ,her soft plumpy lips..Her inner beauty as well as her Tarks , self power was loved by him ! Don't know why ? Aisa kya rishta hai uske saath ? Kyu ek alag sa ehsaas hai ? Aisa jo kabhi Saudamini ke saath mehsus nahi hua ! Aisa nahi ki mai Saudamini se pyaar nahi karta ! Lekin jab Bondita se mila to aisa kyu laga ki wahi hai mere liye sab kuch ? Kyu bhul gaya ki mai Saudamini se pyaar karta hu ? Ya fir shayad ye pyaar hai hi nahi ! Kya ye sirf ek khichao hai Saudamini ki taraf ? Kya Bondita se......? He kept questioning himself but no one was there to answer .

He soon retired from the Das House and reached RC Mansion where he slept having these questions in mind...
