"No person is your friend who demands your silence, or denies your right to grow."

To my readers (of all genders, sexualities, and personalities),

Something that I've learned from L. Frank Baum's stories about Oz is that: If there was no weirdness or diversity, people wouldn't stand out and if those 'odd' people didn't speak up about their feelings when society is in the way, there would be no chance. That is why we must stand together to defend others when it's needed. When their right to be themselves is in question. Even as someone who is straight and cisgender, I know I have to help to be apart of the solution, so that this cruel world we all live in can be a better, kinder place for everyone.

So, I decided to venture out of my Dorrow (Dorothy x Scarecrow) box and write two stories for Oz ships that celebrate the LGBT community! This was not as easy as I thought it would be. It's difficult to write something for a ship you were never interested it. However, that doesn't mean I don't support Dozma, Tincrow, or any other pairing in the Oz fandom. Every loving relationship is formed on the same ideals, no matter what it looks like. In the stories I wrote, I focused on two things: family acceptance and overcoming personal fears.

I hope that the people in the Oz fandom will enjoy these three stories, just as much as I enjoyed writing it!

With a cheerful smile,

The Gale Narrator
