silence clouded the two of them as they inhaled the fresh air from the open area.

taehyung parked his car at the small hill and told jisoo to come out, sit on the grass and admire the citylights that can be seen from where they are right now.

after minutes of keeping quiet, jisoo decided to talk first.

she always wanted to talk things out — except for the problems she have with her family.

"i ran away from home."

mabilis na napalingon si taehyung sakanya. with his lips apart, saglit itong natulala bago inayos ang sarili at nagtanong. "why?"

"they were suffocating me," she answered in all honestly. for all she know, pareho silang kinamumuhian ang pamilya niya. which makes her think that she doesn't have to hide telling all of these things to him.

"it's like they were stopping me from breathing.."

he clenched his jaw upon hearing jisoo. he was never wrong about his assumptions. demonyo nga talaga ang mag-amang yon.

"what did they do?"

"you won't believe me," jisoo chuckled. "like how they didn't. no one believed me. not even jaden."

"i'm not like them."

"alam ko," lumingon sakanya ang dalaga bago bahagyang ngumiti. "but you haven't heard my story either."

"jennie, lisa, chaeng and bobby were the only ones i can trust but that wasn't enough.."

taehyung then raised his hand and faced her. "i, kim taehyung, promise to prove my loyalty to kim jisoo, and under no circumstances i would fail her."

jisoo laughed at how taehyung tried hard to be serious. alam nyang pinapatunayan lang nito ang sarili na mapagkakatiwalaan siya, but the heavy weight that was pushing her heart down began to disappear that moment. 

natahimik silang dalawa ng magsimula na itong magkwento. doing her breathing excercise for a short while, pumikit muna ito bago nagsalita.

"he killed my mother."

taehyung almost forgot how to breathe. nakatingin lamang ito sa dalaga na ngayon ay nagpatuloy sa pagkwento.

"i saw it with my both eyes. he strangled her to death until my mom lost hope to breathe.."

"did you know that your dad was a coach before?" he suddenly asked after seconds of arguing with his mind.

nalilitong lumingon sakanya si jisoo. "he was once an mma fighter. but a coach? i don't know, that was probably the time where mom was struggling to raise me and jaden. he's there fucking up everyone else's life."

"he did."

"what?"

anger flashed in taehyung's face and jisoo felt the shiver in her whole body upon seeing the wrath in his eyes.  "he ordered his player to kill my brother."

"taehyung.."

"he killed my brother," taehyung exhaled a shaky breath. "only because he got pissed."
