Frank's POV:-

I groan inwardly. Darn it!

Stupid woman-silhoutte, stupid timing, stupid me.

Why, oh why did it have to happen just as I was gonna confess my feelings to her? Seriously, couldn't the woman just wait? Did she realise how nervous I was? How scared I was? It was a perfect moment, us dancing to the rhythm while smiled were etched on our faces. Did the woman whose silhouette jumped into the water really had to ruin the awesome moment? I mean, who jumps into a water like a mad man?! Or in this case, a woma-

" Earth to Frank? You still here? " Nancy waved her hands in front of my face, bringing me into the present time. " Uh... Sorry, I just... zoned out. " I replied, scratching the back of my head.

" It's alright. Come on, let's go and check what's going on in that deck. Rose and Joe are already there. " She smiled warmly at me before grabbing my hand and dragging me towards the deck. When we reached there, a certain something caused our jaws go drop.

Blood.

" What in the name of God was happening here? " Nancy whispered to herself from beside me. There was blood dripping from the wall which connected the deck with the ball room. But unfortunately, it was not visible from inside. So anyone with evil intentions would get away with this..... Unless someone notices this.

" Looks like someone had tried to kill that woman or threat her by using a sharp object, probably a knife, which caused blood to drip from.... Probably her neck, as the height from which the blood is pouring looks like either the neck or the head. " Nancy concluded. We agreed to her before Joe quipped in " But surely, there must be a reason, seeing that the woman jumped into the water either as a refusal to say or do what she was asked to or probably to save her life.... "

At this point, I was wandering around the deck, to search for something useful. And luck was on my side.

" Nancy, Joe, Rose! Come here, quick! " I shouted in a not-so-loud voice, but loud enough to gain their attention. There was a purse lying on the ground, it's contents mostly empty except a small passport and a few coins. Nancy gently picked up the passport, with Rose peeking at it over her shoulder, Joe inspecting the coins and me, the bag. A loud gasp broke our attention. It was Rose.

" Oh my.... This was the woman whom I ran into today morning, while searching for my cabin! " She exclaimed with dread. Joe and I shared a knowing look before my brother asked her " So you know her? Or better to say, know the 'late her'? " causing me to facepalm myself and Nancy to roll her eyes. Trust Joe to ruin the vibe.

" Yes. Today morning, while I was searching for my cabin, I bumped into this woman. Our bags were the same, and I accidentally took her bag with me into my cabin instead of mine. But that was in the morning. We even exchanged our bags a short while after, and hadn't seen each other since then. "

Silence enveloped us after Rose spoke, as we digested the information. Wait, did she say 'exchange our bags?' What if-

" Did you check your bag after you exchanged it from her? I mean, did you find anything suspicious? " As soon as Nancy finished this, Rose furrowed her eyebrows, deep in thought. Finally she replied shaking her head, " Not that I remember. "

**********
We were currently sitting in Rose's cabin while the two girls were searching her bag for anything suspicious. " So, my beloved brother, did you say to Nancy? " Joe asked, placing a hand on my shoulder. I chuckled humorlessly before shaking my head " No. We were interrupted by all this chaos. "

After a few more minutes, Nancy and Rose came into our view, Nancy holding a small casket in her hands. She slumped down on the chair before handing us the casket. " This was present at the lowest portion of her bag. It might be a clue. "

After a few more minutes of us inspecting the casket, it was decided that Nancy would take the casket with her in her cabin, in hopes of trying to open it. Finally, we stood up from the chairs and bid Rose goodnight before heading to our cabin rooms. Just as I was going to enter our room, Nancy's voice stopped me.

" Oh Frank, you were trying to tell something before all this chaos? " I turned around to find her staring at me. I smiled before shaking my head " Yeah, but I will tell it later. The ambience is destroyed already. " She seemed unconvinced by my words but after a few more minutes, she sighed while nodding. " Okay. Good night Frank. " She said before kissing me on my cheek, leaving me flabbergasted by her actions and heat crawled upon my cheeks as she went towards her own cabin room.

" Good night Nancy, sweet dreams. " I said before touching my cheek where she had kissed, while Joe wolf whistled. I cracked a small smile as a thought popped into my mind.

Maybe she reciprocates my feelings too.
