In Merlin's tower Regina was looking in Merlin's books to find for something. "If we're going to free Merlin, we need witchbane."
"Yeah, but the labels are all faded." Bella comment as she helped them as well.
"Forget the decloaking potion." Emma looked by her mother, who had also a book. "It's not a glamour anyway."
"You sure?" Regina asked to her.
Snow looked at her. "If I'm getting this right, the tree could actually be him transfigured, right?"
"We could find out with a sample." Belle replied to her.
"Yeah, and when we snap off a twig and it turns into a finger, who's crying then?" Regina sighed. "Come on, someone. Witchbane."
"You guys sure you don't want us to just wiggle my nose and get him out of that tree?" The twins asked on the same time.
Snow with her head. "No."
"Your magic is dark now." Regina added. "It's not worth it. I'll just keep pretending to be the savior destined to free him, and we can do this together."
Charming looked at his daughters. "Regina's right, Emma, Caitlynn."
"I heard someone say a woman is right." Arthur looked at Charming. "That's always a safe assumption, isn't it, David?" Then at Regina. "How are you progressing, Madame Savior?"
"Um... progress." Regina replied to him. "Slow but sure."
"It's, uh..." Belle walked towards Regina. "Marvelous having Merlin's own books to work with. It's like talking with the master."
"Oh." Snow came with an idea. "What if we could talk to him?"
The twins looked at their mother. "What?"
"Yes." Regina chuckled. You are... very occasionally... a genius."
"Yes, if we talked to him, he can tell us how to get him out." Belle told to them as Regina had the book open with a mushroom on it.
Charming looked at the picture in the book. "A mushroom."
"Toadstool, actually." Regina corrected him. "Deadly poison. Extremely useful in communicating across barriers, even though spells. Says here it's called the Crimson Crown."
"Yes, I know this name." Arthur comment to them. "It's rumored to grow in Brocéliande, the Forest of Eternal Night. Its existence is the stuff of legend, though. Almost certainly fiction."
"People say the same thing about us." Charming looked at the King. "How far?"
"A half day's ride." Arthur replied to him. "But if it is there, it'll be protected by magical forces."
"You know what, David?" Snow looked at her husband. "Wait until we know more."
"It's not like I'm needed here. It's a chance." Charming gave their son to Snow.
"Oh. Aww." Snow comment as she grabbed into their son and had him in their son.
"I'm taking it." Charming comment as he walked away, Arthur followed him as the others looked each other and shrugged.

In Emma's house, in the Basement. Emma went to swing the dwarf axe at the Stone of Destiny which was holding Excalibur. Then Rumpelstiltskin looked at her and comment. "A dwarf axe. Now, that's a creative path to failure."
