Fluke was waiting for the interviews to end so he could go into his own kitchen to get some coffee. Since Sammy had decided to do the interviews with the candidates for the assistant job, he had resigned himself to wait inside the bedroom until the bustle had passed. But after hearing a loud noise and some moans that sounded like his manager's, he was about to open the door when he heard a different voice. The stranger exchanged a few sentences with Sammy and managed to get her to give him a chance to prove his worth. In fact, the writer didn't care much about it. He just needed someone to take care of the basic household chores until he finished writing the book that was already in its final stages.
His energy peaks were getting lower and lower, so he avoided leaving his room to devote himself to anything else, preferring to focus on work. But curious to know what the guy who had been hired was like, he had to get out of his cocoon.
Ohm Thitiwat made a certain impression at first sight. He was tall and handsome, that wasn't debatable, but when he opened his mouth, the first thing he did was to call Fluke a "kid", making him irritable. Still, there was something about the young man that attracted the writer's attention and he was willing to find out what it was.
Ohm was vulnerable to provocation, but he seemed to have a strong spirit. He was hardworking and showed his value in difficult moments like that one when they rescued the pregnant woman in the elevator or when he killed the terrible monster that had invaded Fluke's bathroom. That way, the writer ended up being slowly fond of the giant who looked strong on the outside, but a real marshmallow on the inside. And that dimple that accompanied his smile was just the icing on the cake.
At some point within those 30 days of Ohm's contract as an assistant, Fluke discovered a new light on himself, he had fallen in love with the boy and wasn't quite sure what to do about it. Apparently, the object of his affection was very dense and he could barely understand its hints, so he decided to vent in the way he knew best: writing about it. So, his latest book was nothing more than a confession of his feelings about and for Ohm, even though he was slow to understand it.
Even so, Fluke felt that something still felt strange between them. He didn't know, for example, if he could say they were dating, as young people today seem to be so averse to that kind of label. He also didn't know if the other liked his displays of affection, so he limited himself to just giving kisses and hugs when the other started any contact.
"I'm going to freak out, Earth!", he said looking at his best friend.
"Haven't you guys slept together yet?", the boy asked taking a sip of tea.
"NO! And I understand that he's reserved, I'm shy too! I swear I understand! But every time he rests those huge hands on my face I keep thinking of the thousand other ways he could use them on my body and I start to get too excited about the idea, I interrupt everything and send him home!", Fluke explained blushing a lot.
Earth and Fluke had become friends in college, so he felt free to vent about any kind of subject to him.
"You need to go and throw yourself at him, bestie! Don't waste any time!", Earth advised.
"I don't know if...", but Fluke didn't have time to voice his thoughts because his maybe-boyfriend had entered the apartment and was excitedly commenting about his college's life.
"Fluke, you can't believe what that insufferable teacher did this time!", Ohm said after entering the apartment and while taking off his shoes, continued, "He forced the class to hand in an interview with one of our favorite authors! I was in despair because of that, but then I remembered that you are...", but the student stopped talking when he noticed the object of his criticisms sitting next to the owner of the property drinking tea.
