My name is Julliet. I'm in a hospital. I almost died.

That was all my drugged up mind could comprehend. I couldn't remember anything that had happened or how I had gotten here. The only thing I could focus on was those words and the image of a pack of wolves surrounding me in a forest just as the sun was setting.

I hear a voice that pushes all my thoughts away, but it sounds so distant as if they were talking across a canyon. "When will she wake up?" There is something so familiar about that voice but I just can't put my finger on it.

I struggle to open my eyes but eventually they gave way and I look at my surroundings. There is a man at the door talking to a woman who is sitting on a chair—she looks frightened. I stare at the woman longer and soon realize that it is my mother.

"M-mom?" my voice sounds raspy as I strain to let the words out.

She rushes over to my side and instantly bombards me with questions. Are you feeling okay? Do you need me to get anything? What do you remember? She frantically  continued on saying how much she loves and that she was so scared she was going to lose me, her only child, her baby girl.

Her words were swarming around my head as I was trying to recollect all of things that had happened, but still to no avail. What day is it and how long have I been here? Am I dying?

My ears start to ring and my vision begins to blur as I felt my eyelids slowly start to droop down. "We have to let her rest, the medicine is starting to kick in." The man, who I assume is my doctor, states as he opens the door for my mother. They both left the room and I soon fell asleep after I heard the door shut.
