"Ahh that fresh smell of the Konoha! the same as I always remembered it!" I grab my bags and walk on in to the place where I belong. While walking around I notice everyone in the village is the same just as I left, this place hasn't changed whatsoever. While walking I can't help but smell something, good, something like pork, PORK RAMEN! I see the stand and speed walk towards the seats and make to get a seat "Hey there sir, what can I help you with?" "Oh, may I have a bowl of pork ramen please?" "of course, coming right up!" he say's as I sit down and slowly, slowly, I mean slowly wait for my food, it doesn't help that I haven't eaten anything in over 9 hours just from traveling here.
A good 30 minutes have passed and I see a waiter coming out of the kitchen with a delicious smelling dish, I smell the pork coming from the delicious looking bowl of brown tasty looking broth, "Thank you so much!" "No sir, thank you!" she say's as she goes back into the kitchen. "Thank you for this meal" I say while pulling apart my chopsticks and digging into the beautiful looking dish.
"I feel like a pig that was so good" I mumble to myself, I walk out and leave the money on the table and a 5 dollar tip, "thank you" I say walking out the door. I should head to the hokage's office so I can let him know I am back.
(This took place when Lady Tsunade was not the hokage) I walk in the door and see the lord Hokage, "Hello sir, I would like to buy an apartment or a house something that help me settle here again" we got everything settled and on my way out I held a piece of paper to the room number that I had and what apartment building it was, it's about a good 20 minute walk, why is it so far, I'm exhausted and want to sleep.
"ahh, I'm finally home" I say while falling on my bed, in an instant I can feel the world slowly drifting away and I close my eyes, suddenly there's nothing but black and silence.
I open my eyes to have a faint heat on my face causing me to slowly wake up, "seems like I slept through the night" I say looking at the time, 9:30, crap, I had a mission to go on today, one of the things Lord Hokage told me yesterday, I shot out of bed and race to my closet and pull out my jonin vest, and get all of my gear, "crap, already late on the first day back here" I say as I leave through my window and jump from roof to roof, gotta hurry!
I arrive at the hokages door out of breath, I slow down my breaths and calm down, I open the door and I see the hokage, but another jonin standing tall, slim but beautiful figure, his silver white hair looks so soft just by looking at it, wait I recognize it, that can't be him can it? I walk up to the hokages desk and he starts to talk. "(y/n) you will be partnering up with Kakashi for this mission, you guys will need to escort a traveler back to safety, but his student's will be working along side you, since you just got back here you will need some adjusting again, I look over and it is indeed Kakashi, what am I saying of course it is, the hokage said he is, I look at him as I feel my face start to heat up, am I blushing, no, I thought I got over him, he was a long time ago thing, I don't like him...do I? weather I do or not, he doesn't seem the least interested in me.
We walk outside and the blonde kid immediately started to yell. "Hello, my name is Naruto, what's your name!?" "Oh it's (y/n)" "Nice name!" Naruto says with a bight smile, "my name is Sakura" the pink haired girl spoke up, the black haired one didn't seem interested in talking but spoke anyway "names Sasuke" he say's "No way, is it really you (y/n)?" I look over at were that deep voice came from, It came from Kakashi, "oh yeah, um hey" I say smiling lightly, "I never even recognized you" he says, "aa that hurt Kakashi!" I say in a teasing but slight mad expression. "well Kakashi, you still seem like your old self" "actually I think I changed quite a bit" he say's as he smiles, I can tell he is smiling by looking at his eye, maybe he did change, he's smiling, for once. "Aa nice, you and Kakashi sensei know each other!" Naruto say's while yelling again, "Naruto shut it!" Sakura say's seeing her ticked off face. "Alright kids, we should get going and escort lady...uh" "May" she say's "right, we need to focus on lady May and get her back to her village" Kakashi say's as he moves on a head of us, I quickly hurry up to him, "hey loser, where's Obito and Rin?" I say and he stops walking, I probably shouldn't have said that, "I'm sorry (y/n) but their gone, let's move on with the mission" he say's and starts to walk a head again, "shit" I say and hurry up to him again, "I'm sorry Kakashi, I didn't mean to ask that..I-" he cuts me off "it's okay (y/n) you didn't know" he says while smiling towards me, this man has been through shit and you can already see it in his eyes, he really has changed.
"Kakashi Sensei! can we stop and rest, I'm hungry and it's getting dark out!" Naruto complains, I do agree with him. "alright, we'll set up camp for tonight" he say's agreeing.
Time skip
I sit on a log by the fire and just watch the fire, the kids asleep, while I stay out for watch, I hear foot steps come towards my way, danger? No, Kakashi, "Hey, why are you still up?" I ask him since I still have 30 minutes of watch out left, "Just wanted to check up on an old friend" he say's shrugging and sitting down on the log right next to me, "how have you been (y/n)?" "I've been good, i'm more confused on you, you changed a lot, and I can see it, you're going through pain, do you want to talk about it?" I respond, "what are you talking about (y/n)? i'm fine" he smiles at me again, "your smile say's otherwise" "alright fine, I'll talk a little, I can trust you after all, you were a really good friend to me, and still are" ouch, friendzone, "yeah..." I say blushing looking away, "(y/n) are you blushing?" he questions, "No, the fire is just hot" I say hoping he believed, he didn't "(y/n) are you into guys?" "...what the hell kind of question is that!?" I say defensively. "Well it seems like you are starting to like me, look at your body language, your looks, your eyes, don't worry, it's cute" he say's while smiling "did you just say it's cute..?" I ask, "Yes, look (y/n) since we were younger I always thought of you, not in a friend way, but I would hope, we could become more, but unless I'm wrong, forget I said anything" he say's trying to get up, "wait Kakashi" I say grabbing his hand, "fine, you caught me, I have liked you since we were younger, and I think I still do, happy?" "yes" he say's while sitting back down and grabbing my cheek and rubbing it smoothly, I blush harder, he pulls down his mask and slowly leans in and gives me a peck on the cheek, the he moved over to my lips, I jumped and my eyes went open, I calm down in the kiss and kiss him back, wow, he's perfect at this, he slightly bites my lip and wanting access I give it to him, we start to kiss passionately and I start to blush even more
"You should get some sleep, I can take watch now" he say's "oh, uh okay, um I'll see you in the morning Kakashi" I say while getting up and walking towards the tents. "(y/n)?" I stop before entering "Yeah?" "I mean it, I really do love you." there it was, the big 4 letter word, I smile "I love you too Kakashi" I respond, seeing him smiling before entering.
I get into my sheets and slowly close my eyes, feeling safe and happy, sooner than I knew it, I fell sleep feeling good.
So that's that story, um what do you think, I am so tired, and only at 1:46 in the morning, am I getting that old? haha well it was nice writing for you guys again, thank you and I love you all peeps.
