Heeyoung's POV

I tried to close my eyes slowly in the cold dark room, doing whatever it could to make me feel sleepy. Its been a good 30 minutes since I've suddenly wake up in the middle of the night.

I cant sleep.

Feeling like ive given up to fall asleep, i sit up as i look behind me.

Jay was sleeping peacefully with his back facing me, all wrapped up in his blanket.

I scooched over to see his sleeping face, he was wearing an eye mask and he wasnt moving an inch. He is in deep sleep like the typical jay he is.

I sighed as i got up and walk towards the big sliding door at my side of the room that had the view of the city.

I try to make myself sleepy by counting the cars on the roads or even the lights of the building windows.

Suddenly, my phone buzzed and i went to my bedside to check what it was.

*Wonie😸🐑 sent you a message*

I tilted my head being confused why would he sent me a text in the middle of the night.

I unlocked my phone and checked his message.

yeah?
read 3.29 a.m

Did this dude just left me on read?

Then my phone ringed, and i immediately answered it.

"can't sleep?" The other side of the phone said.

"yeah, you too?"

"yep."

There was a long line of silence until i start to speak up again.

"why are you calling me in the middle of the night, jungwon?"

"i cant sleep and i was bored. It just came into my mind to text you to see if you were awake or not." he said.

"isnt heeseung or riki always up playing games? go play with them." i said to him as i got out of the room and head to the kitchen to have a glass of water.

"they were unexpectedly tired today, so they slept early since tomorrow we have the day off so they wanted to sleep in." he explained.

No wonder jay was tired when he came home today too.

"so, what should we do? falling asleep is totally not an option."

"i know. but- uh, can i come over?" he says and i was taken aback a little.

"uh sure, but isnt your dorm a bit too far?" i said worried.

"8 minutes isnt far, heeyoung." he laughs.

"still, its dangerous! and arent you supposed to be resting?"

"yeah, but im bored. Plus we havent had a lot of catching up lately." he says.

Hes right, ever since i became a trainee and debuted, i havent been able to hangout with him much. And then he went on the show and i only got to meet with him again after he debuted. we've skipped a lot of years though.
