"RUN, Y/N, I will distract them"
Hanji screamed, while shooting in the direction where the police came from.
"IM NOT JUST GONNA LEAVE YOU HERE ON YOUR OWN!"
Y/N took out their sword and ran towards a police officer. The officer didnt expect any one-by-one fights, so he didnt have a proper weapon, except for his gun. He tried to shoot Y/N, but they already whispered a spell, swung their sword in the air and watched as the police officer disappeared into dust.
(Y/N was a witch who used their sword in their fights. Hanji was a serial killer and usually did most of the fighting though. Y/N prepared potions for Hanji and watched from a far in case they needed help, which they did right now.)
"You know that I can help you! You dont need to protect me! I can protect myself!"
Y/N screamed at Hanji, who was still focused on the police officers, but now turned towards Y/N.
"I know that! But I just dont want to lose you Y/N!"
Y/N almost froze at those words, but was pulled back into reality, when another police officer shot in Y/Ns direction and missed only by a few centimetres.
"Good thing I still have my protection spell up. He could have hit me straight in the shoulder."
Y/N saw that there were three police officers running towards Hanji, so they threw a smoke ball towards Hanji. The smoke ball was small, so the smoke disappeared quick, but they had enough time to run away and hide behind a house.
"We have to get away from here! Were not going to be safe, until the police cant find us anymore for good."
Hanji nodded their head in agreement and together they ran towards Hanjis car.
In the car they had disguises, which they quickly put on.
Hanji had a long, black wig and a black suit, so that they would look like a businesswoman, whos on a business trip or something like that. Y/N put on their red, medium length wig and a pretty flower dress.
Then Y/N got out of the car and went into their own car.
A businesswoman and a woman on summer vacation wouldnt drive in the same car and obviously they didnt want to seem suspicious.
They both put in an earplug in their left ear to talk to each other.
"Y/N? Can you hear me?"
"Yes Hanji, I can hear you very clearly."
They agreed on a place, where they could easily hide and picked two different routes, so that it wouldnt get obvious.
"Shiganshina... that sounds familiar."
Hanji thought to themselves.
POV Y/N:
"Today actually was really close. I almost got shot and if I didnt have any smoke balls left, who knows where Hanji would be right now? I hope theyre alright."
"When we agreed on Shiganshina, Hanji seemed a little weird, I wonder what was crossing their mind."
"I think Shiganshina definitely was the right decision though. With the three walls and it being far away from our home, it will be the perfect hiding spot. If we could be able to get to the third wall, right in the centre, that would be perfect, because theres probably going to be the safest place. Maybe we can sneak in. And even if the guards catch us, I think we would be able to handle them."
I smirked at that thought.
"Today we probably fought against 100 police officers and we were still able to get away. Hanjis skills have never been in doubt, but if I may say so myself, I have gotten pretty good as well."
Many people always thought that I was too full of myself, because of my selflove abilities. But I knew that they were just jealous, its hard to feel good about yourself and its the main factor for my magic to work.
I continued to drive down the road, between fields and tree plantations. I drove past a sign that read:
"Shiganshina: 30 kilometres"
"Good"
I thought.
"Only about 15 minutes left."
"Hey Hanji?"
"Yes Y/N? Is something wrong?"
"No, I just wanted to check how far away you were."
"Oh about 20 minutes. What about you?"
"Im going to be arriving in 15 minutes, so I guess youre driving a bit behind me. Lets meet at the entry of wall Maria. Maybe we will stay in Shiganshina for the night and then continue to move forward to the third wall. What do you think Hanji?"
"I agree, but lets tomorrow stay in Shiganshina for the day, Ive got to check on something."
"Okay, thats fine by me. Ive got to get through the control now, wish me luck that theyre not going to be suspicious about my witchcraft stuff in my trunk."
I didnt even let Hanji answer me and immediately shut down the earplug. As I was driving towards the control, I got more and more nervous but didnt show it. I had a pretty good poker face, so I was going to be alright.
"ID and drivers license please."
I pulled out what the man had asked for and handed it to him. Of course, Hanji and I had both a fake ID and a fake drivers license with our disguises on, because otherwise we probably would get in trouble.
The man suspiciously looked at both cards he was given, gave a small nod and waved me in.
"Welcome to Shiganshina miss."
I slightly flinched at the misgendering, but it was alright, because I knew, it was for the sake of staying hidden and safe.
I turned on my earplug.
"Hey Hanji. Im in. He accepted the fake ID and drivers license. You shouldnt have a problem with getting inside."
Hanji answered with a:
"Okay, Im almost there. Park your car and wait for me at the Levis tea shop"
I agreed and started to search for a parking lot, when I was slightly getting curious of how Hanji knew about the tea shop. I let go of the thought and went to look for the shop on my phone.
"I dont have any service here. Guess Ill have to go ask someone."
"Excuse me mister. Do you know where the Levis tea shop is?"
"Ah yes, its right around that corner."
I turned around the corner and walked towards the place the man had led me to.
The moment I stepped inside a blonde boy led me towards a two-seat-table and informed me that a menu would be brought to me in a second. I nodded and sat down, waiting for Hanji and the menu.
