Execution

As I walked through the halls I had known my whole life, I thought about my time here. For as long as I can remember I was a slave. A slave to the Palace and a victim of Fear. It was strange, how I was incredibly stubborn but yet I didn't ignore my common sense, not completely anyway. I just liked to push people to the very LIMIT. It was interesting to see different people's reactions to being pushed to the edge of their Patience by a mere SLAVE. And predictably enough, I was heading to my execution because of my big mouth.

As I walked halls, thoughts of regret filled my mind. If only I hadn't talked back, what if I never took the extra food?? What if I had just pushed aside my opinion and done as the soldier had said? I'm snapped out of my thoughts when we reach an unfamiliar hall. I hear the guards chuckle, most likely at my surprised expression. Why have I never seen this hall before? Questions run through my mind but I force the thoughts away. I will not die with my mind going insane. "You ARE insane" a guard laughs, his friend joining in. I roll my eyes before realizing that I never said that out loud. " How did you hear that? " I demand, it was a bold thing to say that to these officials but like I said, I had a big mouth. The guard ony left looks at me, then up at the other guard. The two don't break eye contact. The way their expressions change its like their having a conversation, but that's impossible their mouths aren't moving or making sound.

After a few more seconds of this they finally appear to make a decision. The Guard on my right looks down at me, " Your about to die," He says " It won't matter how we knew." He states mater of factly. I roll my eyes " Then at least tell me your names so I don't have to call you "Guard" for the next 10 min of my life. " I amend "Why would we tell you?! " The guard on my right snarls. "Like you said, I'm about to die, so it won't matter. " I explain, a hint of mockingness in my voice. He grunts in response.

I watch as the guards push open the grand doors. I hadn't even realized we were at the end of the hallway. I scolded myself feeling the goosebumps rise on my skin, I would not show any signs of fear or weakness. I would walk to my death with my head held high.

The moment the double doors opened all eyes were on us, or should I say ME. I look around the immense room in awe. The floor was one gigantic sheet of black marble, polished so we'll that I could see my reflection. Rows of luscious deep red velvet chairs formed a sort of ring along the grey walls of the room. Every chair was occupied by what I presumed to be Nobles, all dressed in fine gowns and Robes. But they seemed to have a colour code. The clothes were all Either Green, Red, Silver or Blue. As my eyes traveled to the front of the room I nearly gasped. The floor led up in small steps to a Grand Throne. It was a Silvery Black that demanded attention, and respect. But the most astonishing part about it wasn't the throne itself, nor the man sitting in it, it was the man standing beside it.

A/N hope you guys liked it!! Sorry it was really short, also for how much the characters mind wanders off. I always do that with my characters. Trying to get better at not doing that.
