class clowns / sara x anzu fanfiction / yttd

chapter 1 ~ drama class.

"okay, class! today we will be doing a partners project." ryoko looked at me from the other side of the room and i nodded. we were always partners in projects so i understood what she was trying to show me. but unfortunately..
"before you move, i will be picking your partners." the whole class sighed. ryoko rolled her eyes then mouthed what looked like "we can be partners next time."

"now then.."
the teacher was giving everyone else their partners until the only people left were anzu and i. i haven't talked to her that much but she seemed like a nice person so i didn't mind. as long as she actually wanted to participate... anyway, i shuffled my chair over to her desk and sat opposite her.
"hi sara!" she blurted out then gave an awkward smile.
"that was a bit loud.." i laughed. her cheeks went a rosy pink and she looked down at her feet.
"sorry, haha, i'm just a bit nervous."
"nervous for what?" but before she could reply, the teacher interrupted us and told us our task.
she said that we had to write a short script and then perform it.
"you all have half an hour to plan out the script and half an hour to write, then 10 minutes when i see you on monday to finish and the rest of the class to perform! if that isn't enough time then you can do something over the weekend to sort that out. have fun!" suddenly my mind went blank. oh no... who knew what anzu was capable of. for all i know, she could be struggling as much as i am!
i had to tell her, we didn't have that long.
"i'm sorry, but i can't think of anything. do you have any ideas?" she grinned and said,
"of course i do!" that was lucky, "i am great at this stuff! i love acting. i don't tell many people this but i actually have a side job as a clown!"
my jaw dropped open and she covered her mouth as if she didn't mean to say that. she mumbled,
"this is why i never tell anyone about this.. i'm so stupid!" i put my hand on her shoulder and reassured her.
"anzu, i am shocked. not in a bad way, i think it's great! i don't think you should be so secretive about it though. i never knew you were into that stuff!" although, i had questioned why her hair was so crazy. i giggled and she looked up.
"you really think so?"
"i do!" we shared a look and i realised how her eyes matched her fringe.
she opened her laptop and made a document and then named it 'sanzu's script :)'
what an odd name.
"sanzu?" i asked. a warm smile spread on her face and said,
"it's a mix of both our names! now come on, let's get planning!"
