I own nothing.
Izzy's POV (Much younger. About 10 years old)
I laughed in delight as I dodged his sword strike. Percy grinned as he swiped his sword just where my head was a millisecond before.
"You might be good with a sword, but I'm faster at dodging." I bragged, continuously avoiding his strikes.
"Oh, really?" He asked, intensifying his attacks with his sword.
He was really starting to go fast now, and I could barely keep up with the dodging. I tried to block his blade a few times with my staff, but he was using too much force. Finally, he swiped at my legs, and just when I sidestepped, he stuck out his leg, making me trip.
I fell on my knees, my staff having rolled away when I fell.
"I wouldn't depend on how good I was if I were you." Percy said, extending a hand to help me up.
I sighed at having been beaten by him for about the fourth time this week. I took his hand, and he helped me up.
"Well, that was interesting." Alec said, from where he was sitting on the floor beside Jace. "Yeah. Next time, I wanna get my own sword," Percy said, wearing a playful smile, "and I want to see Alec fight Izzy. I bet she'll win."
I blushed slightly at his last comment, returning my staff to the form of my serpent bracelet.
"Percy! Perseus!" Someone called, the person's voice resonating off the walls. A teenager came into view, wearing an orange t-shirt that said CHB in faded letters, and navy blue jeans.
He had light brown hair, and blue eyes. "Perseus, we need to go! Quick!" He shouted, seeming stressed about something. He kept looking around as if expecting something to attack him.
"I- what? Why!" Percy asked, oblivious to the teenagers behavior, instead looking slightly annoyed at being called by his real name. "We need to go! Now! You're in danger!" The teen insisted, grabbing hold of Percy's wrist.
"I can take care of myself, thank you very much!" Percy said, yanking his wrist out of the boy's grip. "No, you don't understand. They are here for you and you're only ten." The teen repeated, again grabbing Percy's wrist.
Percy groaned in annoyance, glaring at the boy. "Guys, I guess I'm gonna have to go." Percy said, turning to face us as the boy started walking back the way he came, Percy trailing behind. "Wait, Percy!" I yelled, but Percy was already walking out, into the corridor. We locked eyes for a moment, before he was pulled away.
After that, I never saw him again. That is, until many years later.
Dun, Dun, Dun! How was this chapter? Cringy, I know. So in this story, Percy was childhood friends with Izzy, Alec and Jace.
