It all started on a fiery hot day of my junior year. His midnight black hair was shining in the sunlight. He was talking with the two most attractive and most popular girls at school. They're also the most annoying. I knew he would never settle for a girl like me if he hung out with those girls. I could feel myself staring, but I couldn't help it. His jawline was so sharp it could cut me. His eyes were a soft blue-green that you couldn't help but get lost in. I, obviously, had a huge crush on him, along with three fourths of the female population. He was also very muscular. Not just plain old muscular, but bodybuilder muscular.
"Oh would you stop drooling." said my best friend, Kayla.
"What? I'm not drooling." I scoffed, looking away.
"Oh whatever. You're totally into Trevor."
I rolled my eyes. The bell rang and Kayla and I walked inside Culton High.
First up, Calc. I hated Calculus. It was my weakest sunject. The only thing good about it was that our teacher was always calling out sick. She was the most irresponsible teacher, but we usually just texted in class whenever we had a sub, which was constant. I walked into class with Kayla. Trevor was sitting in the front and when I walked in he looked up at me. I couldn't help but to blush. Kayla elbowed me as we took two seats in the back. That day our sub was Ms.Larson. We've had her before. She's the only one that made us do work.
"Okay class. Take your seats," they did, "I'm going to take rolecall, so keep your ears aware." Aware?
Ms.Larson called name after name. She finally reached mine. "Norris, Reagan." she shouted. My hand shot up. "Oh and you can just call me Reagan. I would rather not be called Norris comma Reagan." There I went again, trying to be funny. Ms.Larson paused then started calling out names again. "I thought your joke was funny." Kayla whispered next to me. "No you didn't." I replied. She nodded.
"Okay so I am going to assign partners and you are going to do a worksheet, since I have a headache keep it quiet." She shouted over our voices. We quieted down. "Okay, Kayla and Ryley. Julie and Loraine. Tray and Larson. Reagan and Trevor." she kept on going. I couldn't believe my luck. I was just partnered with Trevor Lance. THE hottest guy at Culton High. Trevor looked back at me. I didn't know he was until I looked up from my notebook. He smiled at me. I smiled slightly, then looked down again. "Okay. Find your partner. Get to work. Quietly." Ms Larson said. I stood up, but Trevor was already making his way towards my desk. He turned this girl's Natalie's desk around to face mine. He smirked at me. "So.. Norris, Reagan," he started, "Do you happen to have a pencil I can borrow?" He gave me a flirty smile. I returned the smile and handed him a pencil. He nodded at me as if to say Thanks.
"Okay, let's get to work." I said to him turning my pencil in my hand.
He raised an eyebrow at me.
"On the paper." I said, laughing a little.
"Okay.. problem one."
I couldn't focus on a word he was saying. I was too focused on his pink, full lips, his flowy hair and his white teeth biting down on my pencil. I was definetly keeping that pencil. Even though I was barely listening, he spoke smoothly, like he could say the abc's in his sleep without messing up.
"Reagan.." I heard him say, "Are you even listening?"
"Hmm?" I fumbled for words, "Uh, yeah, mmhm. I'm listening. The limit does not exist." I didn't even know if that was right, but he nodded his head and wrote that down.
After about twenty minutes Ms.Larson shouts that we all need to turn in our sheets. Trevor and I finished ours, even though I was barely doing anything.
"I'm sorry, I was a little distracted. I'm sorry you did most of it." I said to him, hanging my head down.
He smiled down at me. "Actually my phone did all the work. I was looking up all the answers. So, don't be sorry and I get distracted all the time." the bell rang, "see you in Chem?"
I smiled and nodded. I watched him walk out as I gathered my things. Kayla elbowed me. "Come on, we have Biology." she said taking my maroon backpack out of my hands, "Now is not the time for staring at boy's butts."
Yep. I was definetly into him, big time.
