I get the ideas from my stories based off of anime or movies that I watch and think,"Man, I feel like writing a book to that! That seems interesting..." Or I actually think of these ideas on my own, take Penumbra for instance, I thought of that based off of nothing. I was bored in math class one day and bam! I just kinda came to me lol. So I guess in a way, it depends on what type of story I wish to write, I mostly like fantasy and magic based things- as seen from every book I have written -but I was thinking of making a school story, or a horror, or even a sad one. How I come up with these ideas and figure out which genre to put it into. Then figure the best way to have the story lead to and so on... Anyway this is mostly how I come up with my ideas, I hope that this can help you a little as well! Starry out! ;P
