The crowd erupted into cheers. I grinned out at the crowd and turned my head to the right and what I saw made my heart stop. I felt hot tears collect along the brim of my eyes. I turned and gave my sister a helpless look. All eyes were on me now. He looked at me with an undecipherable expression on his face. There was a sinking feeling in my stomach. I ran off stage as fast as I could in my stilettos.
