Today it's my 10th birthday and as soon as I feel the morning sun light at my face I wake up happier than ever. As soon as I open my eyes I see Asteria (my beautiful magical phoenix) playing with the sunbeams. 'She is so cute' I thought to myself, I really don't know what I would do without her is is my only friend, not that ever had the chance to meet anyone except her or my Mom. There she is, I know it's her, I always recognize her mesmerizing voice... I finally decide do leave my soft and comfortable bed, take Asteria at my hands and go directly at the window so I can have a better view both of our flowered garden and my gorgeous strawberry blonde (kinda ginger) hair colored mother. She simple looks at me and smiles, I sit there for the next 15 minutes just looking everywhere and nowhere at the same time the she calls my name, but not from the garden, she is now at my bedroom door wearing a pastel green dress.
"(Y/N) my child come to the kitchen with me" she said, but my eyes went directly at her hands, she was holding something that had the same fabric and and color as her dress. She immediately knew what I was looking at and gave it to me.
I unfolded it and it was standing "Mother thank you, it's amazing, it's... it's... it's stunning. THANK YOU SO MUCH" it was a miniature (compared to hers) dress. I left Asteria at my bed now that she had fallen asleep and went for a hug, she opened her arms and welcome me with a warm hug and a gentle kiss on the forehead that felt like home, even more that our actual home does.
"Now (Y/N), wear your knew dress and come to the kitchen, I have another surprise for you..." I simple nodded at her and turned my back at her so I can change as quickly as I possible "and please don't bring Asteria, let that pour creature sleep, she is just a baby" I didn't say anything, instead I got ready and run barefoot to the kitchen.
My mom brought I beautiful and tasty looking pink birthday cake with ten candles on top of it "Happy birthday my precious witch" I blow the candles while making a wish "Thank you mom". She took a knife and cut two pieces, jokes on her cause I am about to it at least two more for today. "Ooohh... I almost forgot it, I have one more present for you" she pulls a small red velvet jewelry box from her right pocket (YES, YES our dresses have pockets, what can I say my mother loves to make practical clothes)"Here you go" I grabbed it for her hand the moment I lay my eyes on it, I know... I know it's not polite, but can I say I am an impatient and impatient child, I truly am.
"Okay, okay you impatient fox" she giggled "Open it now" that was all I wanted to hear. 'O...M...G, OMG' I screamed to myself, that is the most beautiful necklace I've ever seen, both the silver-smooth in touch chain and the just big enough black crystal are just perfect. "Thank you again mother, it's... it's wonderful"
"Trust me my dear, it's more than a 'wonderful as you said necklace'. It's a family heirloom, my mothers gave it to me" I rather sad than happy expression was now on her face, she must really miss them. Actually, as long as I am able to remember this is the second time she 'talks' , if I can say that, about them...I wonder why?!?!
"I think I know what you are thinking about and you are right, I never talk about them because I don't know what to tell you, but I am ready now... You are ready now" She looks at me with a look I cannot understand nor analyze. "Give me that" she looks at my second gift, I place it at her hands and seconds later she proceeds to clip it around my neck while saying something in Latin, I presume.
"Ut quod imperium autem quod infinitum lapidibus erit vobiscum" WHAT?!?! is she talking about? I only caught the words infinity (?) , stone or stones (?) and something about some kind of power.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH" I couldn't take it anymore, I started felling an unbearable pain from my head to my toes. I don't now what is it but my mom was just sitting there like she was waiting for something to happen, while something is happing, I am DYING "AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH". "OMG MOOOOOM DOO...... SOMETHING ".
"That's what I am trying to do" what does she even mean?!?!
Now something else is happening, six energy, a blue, an orange, a green , a red , a yellow and a purlπe strings are coming out of her chest and went directly to mine. The pain, the pain, I can't stand it anymore. Second after second, minute after minute of this procedure felt more and more awful but she looks fine, like she've been through this before.
Finally... fi-na-lly, it ended, and I don't know what I did to deserve that much pain, "Mum? What did just happened"
"I had to my child, it was about time, and now that this is over I have to tell who I am or rather what I am" I... I... with all the power that I have left on my body I raise my left eyebrow and put a 'what the fuck are you talking about' look on my face.
"Stop judging me (Y/N)"
"I Am Nooot"
"Yes you are, I can tell it, I am your mother I now every single expression on your small face" she giggled
"Apparently you are more than just my mother. Do you care to explain now? "
"I am the daughter of the Infinity witches and that makes me the last of the and at the same time the first Eternal witch. My mothers names where SPACE, SOUL, TIME, REALITY, MIND and POWER; they became the Infinity stones and gave me the power to control them and now you have it" she took a big breathe and looked at the floor and then back at me "I am deeply sorry my child but your life is going to change drastically, your father is coming to take you from me"
I started crying, the only thing I can think of doing is crying. I jumped on her now open arms, if this is going to be our last one, I want to make it count "Mom I don't know wakanda nonsense(intentional pan) are you talking about but I want to let you know that I LOVE YOU, I ALWAYS WILL"
"I know it... I LOVE YOU TOO, and I will always be with you" she started sobbing and seconds later we started hugging each other tighter and tighter, for what it felt like an eternity nut still it wasn't enough. 'I am not ready to lose her, I need her, I am not ready yet. For god's sake I am only TEN' my mother interrupted my thoughts by wiping my tears away.
"Let's some cake, my child" she said have smiling have crying.
"Yes mother" I placed the plate in front of me and took a spoon with my right hand and started eating.
------------------------1 hour later-------------------------
Helicopters starting flying above our house and then he, they burst into our home.
"Please (Y/N) don't let them take your necklace, you need it to survive"
What happen next is not beautiful. My father, who apparently is a HYDRA agent killed her, he shot her between her once happy - mesmerizing eyes and then stabbed her, like the bulled hasn't enough. That monster, he...he...
"AAAAAAAHHHHH, MOM..." I run to her but I couldn't do anything, it's too late to save her now. White light started coming out of my body but before I was able to do anything someone injected with something that made me fell sleepy.
The last thing I remember is someone dragging me out of my home. "Mom" is the last thing I managed to speak out before passing away.
