The Chunin Exams #2

"Sasuke, please stop!" Sakura yells.

"Look closely at him! Talk! Where's the real Naruto!" Sasuke says.

"I have no idea what you're talking about!" Naruto says.

"What happened to the scratch
on your face? I'm asking what happened to the scratch you got before from the Proctor! And your Shuriken holster is on your left leg. That guy's right handed! You're worse at transformation than Naruto, you phony!"

"Unlucky! You got me. In that case..." Naruto says as he changes to his original form.

A ninja from the village hidden in the rain.

"Which one of you got the scroll?" The rain ninja asks "If you listen to me obediently, I'll spare your lives."

Sakura got out her kunai as she and Sasuke stayed silent.

"I see! Then I'll resort to force!" The rain ninja yells.

I decided to make my entrance and I jumped on top of him.

"Give me your scroll." I tell him.

He started to get up and I flipped backwards and landed on the side of the tree, looking down at him. The rain ninja turned around to look at me so I quickly went behind him and kicked his back.

He went flying into the tree so I quickly went beside him and smiled. I grabbed his arm and threw him up before jumping after him.

Seems he started hiding so I landed on a tree branch and managed to see the real Naruto. I threw a kunai at him to get free before turning around in time to hit that rain ninja in the face.

His mask nearly came off but I just activated Xiaonagon and grabbed my kunai. I stuck the kunai into his chest as I jumped.

"Blazing Fist!" I yell as my fist engulfed in fire and I punched his stomach.

I landed and watched as he went flying.

"His teammates are probably around here somewhere." Sasuke says.

"He came alone so he wouldn't get caught." I say as I deactivated my Xiaonagon.

I wiped the blood off my face and got back together with Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura.

"How did you know he was here?" Naruto asks me

"When you left, I hid in the trees. Like I said, this is just a training course for me." I tell him.

"The important thing is that we can't just trust appearances. We have to come up with a way of knowing that each of us is who we say we are, and not some imposter using a transformation jutsu." Sasuke says.

The rest of us agreed.

"All right, so what do we do?" Sakura asks.

"We need a password." He says.

"Hm? What kind of password?" Naruto asks.

"A secret one. Something known only to the four of us and don't trust anyone who doesn't know it... No matter what."

I looked out at the distance of where I knew somebody was hiding before looking back at my teammates.

"Okay, listen closely because I only want to say this once. The question will be when does a ninja strike? And the response is, a ninja waits until the time is right... when the enemy sleeps and drops his guts... when his weapons lie forgotten in the stillness of the night... that is the moment for a ninja to strike. Got it?" Sasuke asks.

"I got it." Sakura says.

"You got one a little shorter?" Naruto asks.

"No, Naruto. That's it." Sasuke answers.
