TW: ABUSE

'Dear Diary, Today was one of the worse days, father got worse and he did something, something I never thought he would do, He hit me, more then hit me. He slapped me across the face and now my face is bruised and Ares just stood there, my twin brother, my best friend. Just stood there and watched me get abused. we are meant to protect each other. Forever and always, that is what we promised when we were five, when my mother first left and my father started verbally abusing us, anyways its late and I have to get up early tomorrow as we have another royal family staying with us. Good night, Athena x'

I put my diary under my pillow and forced myself to sleep.

The next morning I awoke to the sound of the maid, Cindy, coming in with my morning tea. Cindy was a nice lady, she had short brown hair and olive skin, she looked around 20 and had worked for my father for as long as I could remember. We were good friends and she had always looked out for me.

I drank my tea and got out of bed and got ready for the day, I already knew that today was going to be a long day. We had another royal family coming from another one of the nine realms and to be honest. I was looking forward to meeting them as they are from the city of Asgard. I knew that the two princes were coming and well- I looked forward to meeting them the most. I had heard that the youngest one was around the same age as me and I had hoped that we were going to become friends.

We were having dinner in the hall together tonight, as we do when family's come over. As much as I was happy to meet everyone, I was more happy to not be getting a yelling or beating from my father today as we wants to be in a good mood for tonight and well- yay for me.

~Time jump~

It was time for me to get ready, Cindy had done my hair and makeup and I picked out my dress.

I slipped into it and Cindy came running, to zip it up "I am so sorry, I was helping downstairs". I shook my head and spoke softly "You don't need to apologise, you are okay". she nodded and fixed my dress for me. I thanked her and made my way downstairs.

"Ah, here she is, Meet my wonderful daughter, Athena rose" My father spoke with a stern tone and I walked over and that's when I laid my eyes on him

. Oh he is gorgeous. Black hair that was pulled into a low bun on the back of his head. Tall, muscles everywhere and eyes, so blue they could pierce a soul. he smiled at me, It was calming, safe almost. "Lady Athena, I am prince Loki- The god of mischief" he took my hand and kissed it gently. I felt myself smile, an actual smile. "and I the god of thunder, Thor". he smiled at me and I smiled back. we then made our way to the table and Loki sat next to me. We were talking, talking about everything. He was charming. He spoke with a soft and comforting tone. I liked him. I hope we become good friends.

Dinner was served and I wasn't too hungry, as the past events of the day have taken away my appetite. I ate a little and set my cutlery to the side on my plate and my father looks at me, with an angry look.
"Eat up, dear" I rolled my eyes and immediately knew that was a mistake. My father's expression changed and my face dropped, I looked down at my plate and sighed. He excused us both from the table and I immediately took rose.
He lead me out to the hall away and started whisper-yelling "how dare you, how dare you disrespect me! You will not continue this behaviour as you know the consequences"
I nodded quickly and made my way back to the dining room and sat down. I turned my head and smiled softly at dinner. A few minutes later my father stood up and looked directly at me and Loki,
"We have an announcement, as the kingdom of Asgard and the kingdom of Muspelheim, are taking an alliance, Prince Loki and Lady Athena will be wed"
My face dropped at the words and I immediately looked at loki, who was just in as much shock as myself. "No! I will marry for love! Not an arrangement"
This made my father furious, I knew I had Fucked up.

A few hours have passed and my father was even more angry, me and Loki are trying to figure things out, we both don't want this. He had a girlfriend, I have a life waiting for me, I'm young and I want to live- not be stuck down in some marriage that has no passion and be some housewife that stays home and looks after the kids all day. I want more, I want love, I want passion. I didn't want to marry someone just to please my father. My brother came in and had a angry look on his face.

"I'm furious that father thinks he can make you marry some prince, I will try my best to get you out of this but you should try and get to know Loki in case I am unsuccessful". I nodded and left the room, walking into the hall to see Loki, standing tall with his hair tied back, oh wow , he looked ravishing, he glanced at me and a smirk, came upon his face. "hmm, your staring Athena". Oh my, I felt a pool form in my panties. I blushed hard at him and he gestured for me to walk closer. I walked over and my he was tall, he pulled me closer and placed a finger under my chin and stared deep into my eyes, I felt my cheeks go red and myself getting wetter. He smirked and noticed the affect he has on me. "Good to know I have....an affect"

I was laying in my bed, I had a shower and washed my hair before getting into bed so I was feeling pretty relaxed, but I could not stop thinking about Loki and the whole situation, tomorrow my father is making us go riding which doesn't sound to bad but we will see.
