Most of this was inspired by @greenflowersonmyfeet which is the amazing author of 'lasso' which is what inspired me to write this book!

I woke up the feeling of someone shaking me awake. My eyes fluttered opened and I saw my twin brother, Luis waking me.

"Elle, wake up I have something important to tell you" he said, causing me to get up and have a concerned look on my face.

"What is it"

"Well, don't freak out but, we are going to be playing hockey for team USA"

My eyes went wide. I can finally show my hockey skills, this is exactly what I needed. I hugged him.

He pulled away from the hug. "Okay well, pack your things because we're going to Minnesota"

I got up out of my bed and went over to my closet. I grabbed my bags and packed some clothes in their. Then I changed my clothes. I put on a whole tank top. A black jacket. A black and white flannel over the black jacket. And some light blue jeans.

I walked downstairs and saw luis in the kitchen waiting for me.

"Come on" Luis said walking out of the door. I grabbed a granola bar and walked out the door following behind him.

There was a guy waiting for us in a white van. I raised an eyebrow and looked at Luis, who was looking at me.

"Hey Luis and Eleanor Mendoza, I'm Bryan and I'm going to be taking y'all to the airport to play for team USA" the man said.

I nodded.

Luis walked into the van as I followed behind him. And to my surprise it was a very nice van. He took off and drove us off to the airport.

Luis and I boarded the plane to Minneapolis, Minnesota. I grabbed my headphones and listened to some music. My favorite song, 'Bills,Bills,Bills By Destiny's child'.

Soon, Luis was shaking me. Why is he always shaking me.

"What" I said. He rolled his eyes.

"Come on, we are here" He said before getting up out of his seat and leaving the plane entering the airport. I followed right behind him.

We made our way to the building where we would be meeting our team, along with our coach. As we got there we were the only ones in the locker room.

I changed into my gear. I skated over to the rest of the new players.

My eyes immediately locked with beautiful brown ones. He skated over to me.

"Hey I'm Dwayne Robertson" He said. He held out his hands and I shook it. He had a southern accent and his smile was the most adorable thing I've ever saw.

I smiled. "Eleanor Mendoza and this is my twin brother Luis" Pointing towards Luis.

Then another guy skated towards me. He was shorter then everyone else. "Ken Wu, but I don't mind being called Kenny"

"Julie Gaffney" a girl said to me. She looks very interesting, and fun. Atleast I know that I'm not the only girl here. I could also see that there was a girl duck. So 2 other girls is really nice considering there are a lot of guys.

There was a older guy but I didn't introduce myself.

"Tell me about my new kids" the coach said.

"That's Luis Mendoza and his twin sister Eleanor Mendoza" the guy next to coach said. "Their from our Miami club, Real speedster, and incredible skater, I clocked them at 1.9 seconds blue line to blue line"
