this chapter is like- half the length of the others, but that's because I decided to cut out a bunch.

You let out a mute, relieved sigh as Frisk turned around and held out their hand to Sans. You glanced over your shoulder to see Sans' grin widening slightly, if that was even possible. What you didn't expect, however, was the sound of a whoopee cushion as Frisk grabbed his hand.
Of course.
Sans chuckled as he held his hand up. "heheh... the old whoopee cushion in the hand trick. it's always funny."
You turned around to face him, giving him an amused smile as you glanced over to Frisk to see them giggling in response. Flowey let out an agitated groan.
He shoved his hands back into the pockets of his hoodie. "i'm sans. sans the skeleton. anyway, you're both humans, right?"
Frisk nodded.
With a bit of hesitance, you responded, "Yep. As far as we know." You then glanced down at Flowey to see him sending a deadpan expression your way.
Sans subtly raised an eyebrow ridge at your response before shrugging. "that's hilarious. i'm actually supposed to be on the watch for humans right now. but... y'know..." His eyelights flickered down to the side for a moment. "i don't really care about capturing anybody."
"now my brother, papyrus... he's a human-hunting FANATIC."
Fantastic. That's just what we need.
"hey, actually, i think that's him over there." Sans pointed past the two of you.
With widened eyes, you whipped your head around to see what looked to be the blurred figure of another skeleton, the color red being the main thing you could spot.
Sans let out a snort at your reaction. "hey, i have an idea. go through this gate thingy. yeah, go right through. my bro made the bars too wide to stop anyone."
Frisk walked past you and made their way over the bridge, having little-to-no issues with avoiding the bars around them. You quickly followed them through, fortunately not having to duck or anything to avoid hitting your head.
Sans glanced over to the oddly placed lamp to your left. "quick, behind that conveniently-shaped lamp."
Frisk walked over behind the lamp, peeking out from behind it with a smug grin on their face. "Too tall for you," they signed in your direction.
You playfully rolled your eyes back at them.
"guess i didn't expect two humans to fall down here," Sans muttered, partially to himself. "just hide behind my station for now."
You nodded, quickly walking over to Sans' station and ducking down behind it. Fortunately, most of the snow around his station had been shoveled away, so it wasn't too bad. You quietly set Flowey down on the ground beside you before you peeked over the bar of the station.
A tall skeleton finally came stomping into view, walking through the snow in tall boots as if it was nothing. They wore what looked to be a costume of sorts, or maybe even armor. Black fabric covered the parts of his arms, legs, and spine that were visible. A long, red scarf flew behind him in the wind as he came to a halt.
"'sup, bro?" Sans lazily grinned up at the taller skeleton.
"YOU KNOW WHAT'S "SUP", BROTHER!" The skeleton replied, causing you to flinch at the volume. His voice almost echoed in your ears, mainly due to the "heightened senses" thing, but damn, you weren't expecting him to be that loud.
