Silence filled my bedroom, the slight noise of my parents yelling came from downstairs. I sighed and grabbed my MacBook from the nightstand next to my bed. I pulled on searched trough the drawer for my earbuds. When I found them I plugged them into the headphones outlet on my Mac. I pushed the buds into my ears and went to my playlist, turning on my favorite song Title by Meghan Trainor. I hummed along to the lyrics as I grabbed my iPhone. Opening up Instagram, I scrolled through some of the photos liking a few every here and there. I came across a black and white photo, in the picture was a girl with her hands covering her face. Blood ran down the girls legs, I studied the picture looking at it a little more closely there were cuts on her shins and thighs. Gasping I read what the caption had said 'Words hurt and can break you down more than you think.' There were many comments I looked through them, some of them were pretty rude and others were words of encouragement. I started to wonder why people would say such mean things.

I was pulled from my thoughts as I heard a heavy knock on the door. Before I could say anything my dad walked in.

"Get off your phone and computer! Start packing your stuff, we're moving out and leaving your mom!"

"Dad you don't mean that, do you?" I said as tears started to stream down my face.

"ARE YOU SERIOUSLY ASKING ME THAT RIGHT NOW? OF COURSE IM SERIOUS!"

"Well..." I started to choke on my words "I'm.. I'm.. I'm not leaving her."

"WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?"

"I'm not going!"

"FINE STAY WITH HER THEN!" He slammed my bedroom door.
As soon as the door was closed I started to bawl my eyes out. It's seriously happening my parents are getting divorced, I mean I knew that they argued but I never thought it was this bad. I closed my laptop and got off my bed. Walking over to my closet I grabbed a navy blue hoodie, then I walked over to my dresser and grabbed my light ripped skinny jeans. I then pulled off my pajamas and put on the clothes I had just grabbed. Pulling my long brown hair into a messy bun I grabbed my phone and walked out of the room.

It was around 7:30 p.m. so it was dark out. I told my mom I was going for a walk and she just nodded her head in approval. I opened the door and took a deep breath of fresh air. We lived on the outskirts of town, their was a small park in our neighborhood that was starting to get worn out. Since the park wasn't that far away I headed there. The street lights illuminated the park, making it look like one of those scenes in a movie where the killer is about to come out. Walking over to the swings I sat down and pulled my phone out of my pocket. I went on Instagram and scrolled through my feed looking at the pictures that people posted.

I jumped as I felt a tap on my shoulder. All I could think was run so that's what I did, I heard the person run after me. I looked over my shoulder, a guy in a sleeveless jean jacket with a white t-shirt underneath with black skinny jeans and white converse. I tripped over a crack in the sidewalk. Great just what I needed I thought to myself, when I went to push myself off the ground but it was to late. I felt a hand on the center of my back. The man whispered in my ear "Don't move sweetheart or your gonna regret it." I sat there scared to know what would happen if I did move. He had a thick Irish accent and really strong large hands. When I felt that his hand had moved I was ready to make a run for it.
