The rat carried Azalea through the sewers, until he finally crawled out of an opening to be above ground.

He placed Azalea on the ground, and she smiled.

"Thank you," she thanked, hugging the rat's head in her little arms.

The rat nuzzled back, finally heading back for the sewers.

"W... wait..." Azalea said, softly. "M... maybe... you could come with me."

He looked at Azalea, and smiled, liking the idea. He was always so lonely. Now... he had a friend.

Slowly, he walked back over to Azalea, and she smiled.

"I think you need a name," she said, petting his head, gently.

     He squeaked in agreement.

"Ok... how about... Remy," Azalea suggested.

The rat squeaked, liking the name.

     Azalea chuckled at his reaction.

     "Ok. Remy it is then."

They found a safe place to rest for the night, snuggling up with each other.

     "Good night, Remy."

Remy squeaked, as if saying goodnight back, and then they both slowly drifted off to sleep.
