Chapter 57.1 - Uh oh, hit the wrong person 2

Tang Xiao had gone to the bathroom for a while, and hadn’t come back yet.

Xiao Lin decided to go find her but instead, she found a Spirit Road keychain by the bathroom sink.

She even went looking inside the male bathroom, but she still didn’t find anyone.

“My god! Oh no! There’s someone lying down by the back door!” A noise suddenly screeched from the empty corridor, shocking Xiao Lin into shuddering.

When she reacted, she panicked and ran towards the back door.

There, she found Taang Xiao slumped to the side, a clear mark on her forehead.

When Xiao Lin was dialing Mu Cheng’s number, her hands were shaking.

“Tang Xiao’s dead.”

“....”

“No, no, no, I mean, Tang Xiao’s lying by the back door, in real life, it seems like she’s fainted.”

Mu Cheng quickly arrived. His forehead had a few beads of sweat.

“I’ll send her to the hospital first.”

His hands and feet were frantic as he hurried to send her to the hospital.

When Xiao Lin reached the hospital, she panicked as she called Chief Ning, “Chief Ning, Tang Xiao got beaten up by someone.”

Over the phone, Chief Ning had zero panic in his voice as he slowly spoke, “Oh, help me congratulate her. She’s finally received karma. She wouldn’t have lost her equipment too, would she?”

Chief Ning thought that they were talking about in-game so he wasn’t worried at all.

Xiao Lin froze.

“She didn’t lose her equipment, but she’s in hospital now.”

Chief Ning: ….

“Which hospital?” A door slammed on his side of the phone as he called out to his assistant.

He quickly strode into the elevator to head down to the basement carpark.

“Number three hospital.”

When Tang Xiao entered into the hospital, Mu Cheng naturally followed.

This target was too big.

There were lots of reporters waiting on standby, by the hospital doors.

There were so many reporters huddled around that Chief Ning could only go through the back door.

“Where are you?” Chief Ning dialled Tang Xiao’s number, but the person who picked up was Mu Cheng.

“Hospital section, 14th floor.”

“Is it serious?”

Mu Cheng said, “She was hit by a wooden pole and fell unconscious. Adding onto her recent stress and lack of sleep, she’s just fallen asleep now.”

When Chief Ning entered the room, Tang Xiao was sleeping peacefully.

Mu Cheng sat by her bedside and watched her quietly.

Mu Cheng gestured for the two people to talk outside.

“What exactly happened?” Chief Ning’s tone was bad.

Mu Cheng looked back at the Tang Xiao who was lying in bed. “Someone saw Tang Xiao and Ji Mingxiu leave together through the back door. But Ji Mingxiu’s also hospitalised.”
