Chaptet 1: It all started with a pool party

Taehyung sat across from the male actor as they ate dinner under a beautiful chandelier at Jeju’s most luxurious restaurant. They had a view of the ocean where the lights of the boats in the distance could be seen. Soft jazz music played in the background and gentle chatter could be heard nearby. The smell of the salmon and kimi fried rice bounced off his plate and attacked his nose. Everything was in place for this to be a perfect date. It was just…
“I was so surprised to see how many people followed my movies. Even recently on twitter my followers gained so much. I also read in a magazine that I had potential to be the next big actor.” 
Taehyung nodded as he practically inhaled his food. 
“This movie coming up, I believe will be my biggest yet. When people hear my name I want them to know what movies I’m in automatically.” 
“Yes...” 
After that Taehyung couldn’t remember much of what the young man said because he tuned him out and started thinking about this next project. 
The guy was very gorgeous but 'the world revolves around me' attitude was very off putting. And Taehyung refused to deal with that ever again! 
The date ended a little after that and much wasn't said. Hopefully the guy caught on that Taehyung had lost interest after he spent the night talking about himself. But he doubted it, those types never noticed their flaws. 
As soon as he opened the door to his new home, scuffles on the wooden floor were heard coming towards him. He flipped the lights on and scooped the small dog into his arms. 
"Hi Tannie, you missed me? Sorry I was gone for too long. It seems the quest of finding you another papa was a dead end tonight." He kissed the dog on top of its head and climbed up the stairs to his massive but lonely room. 
After a relaxing shower, Taehyung rested the towel on his shoulders and grabbed water from his mini fridge. 
Settling in bed with Yeontan tucked under him, he began looking through his work emails to see about his upcoming project. Taking pictures of models wasn't bad and the pay was decent but his pleasure came from landscape photos. Which was one of the reasons why he relocated from Seoul to Jeju. His backyard was a beach and everywhere he went he was surrounded by beautiful landscapes. This was photographer's paradise. 
However his love life has been everything but a paradise. His last real relationship had been more than four years ago and he just couldn't find anyone who could peak his interest and made him want to go beyond the first date or a one night stand. 
He shut his computer and snuggled with the love of life before drifting off to sleep.

The next day Taehyung looked up from his teapot when the doorbell rang. Checking his camera from his phone he saw his best friends Jimin and Hoseok. He pressed the button on his phone and the door opened. 
"Where are you?!" Jimin called out. 
"Kitchen!"
He went back to making his tea as his friends soon came in. 
"I'm surprised you guys aren't in the dance studio." 
"We were all morning but decided to take a breather. Things got too hot." Hoseok said. 
Taehyung looked between them. That could go different ways but he decided to leave it alone. His friends were dating so of course anything could happen while alone. It would be a lie if he said he wasn't jealous. The bond and chemistry that Hoseok and Jimin had, he wanted to share with someone. 
"Anyway, what's up?" He said, pouring himself tea. 
"Throw a party." Jimin said with no hesitation. 
"Hey, I thought we were going to ask him." Hoseok said, rubbing his boyfriend's back. 
"Throw a party?"
The kitchen erupted with laughter. Taehyung shook his head. 
"Why do I have to have a party here?"
"You just got a new place, you gotta break it in and having a pool party is the sure way! We'll help you plan!" Jimin said. 
Hoseok nodded. "I know a DJ."
"And I know a party planner."
Taehyung folded his arms as he glanced over at the unused huge inground pool. Oh, what the hell, a small get together wouldn't hurt. 
"Fine."
"What?" Jimin gasped, almost falling out of his seat. "You'll have one?"
"Yes but small!! No more than 50 people."
"Just 50?" Jimin whined. 
"30." Taehyung said. 
"Ok 50 can work! I'll call my friend and we'll start the planning. When do you want the party?"
"A month from today."
"Awesome!"
And just like that Taehyung was suckered into throwing a pool party. Not really suckered, he was being dramatic. A part of him wanted to do it because then he could take some amazing pictures. He was looking more forward to that than anything else. 
Scooping ice cream from the container and right into his mouth, his eyes focused on the TV. A big drama was supposed to be underway and apparently it was making a lot of noise. Old faces who he recognized and new faces who he didn't were announced to be in the drma. His attention focused on a young man's picture that came on screen. His name was Kim Seokjin and he was debuting in his first lead role. 
Gorgeous. Taehyung thought. But he knew how actors were. They were very full of themselves and he didn't want to be bothered. Losing interest, he flicked the channel. It wouldn't surprise him, if he ended up getting assigned to do the promotion pictures. The thought was annoying but the pay would be worth it so it kept his option open.
