//Next Day//
Gordon Bombay"Its great to be here. The guys at Hendrix Hockey have been absolutely fantastic. But I got a game against Italy, so I'll talk to you right after we win it." I say ending the interview and I walk away.
"Thank you."
"Thanks, coach."
"Goodbye."
A female interviewer walks by me and wishes me luck. "Good luck, coach."
Another interviewer walks by but this time its a male. "Get 'em tonight."
I turn to him. "We will." I turn back around and bump into somebody. I look up and its a blonde woman. "Oh. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Uh--"
She shakes her head. "No, it was my fault. I was clumsy." It goes silent for a few seconds. "You're Coach Bombay."
"That's right." I reply.
"You play we'll."
"Well thank you."
"I mean your team. Your team plays well." She corrects herself.
"I-- I know what you meant. So who are you?" I ask her.
"I'm the trainer for the Iceland team. My name is Marria." She outs her hand out for me to shake and I shake it.
Coach Stannson comes over speaking Icelandic making Marria pull her hands away and they start speaking to each other in Icelandic and I look at the ground. I look back up and Marria walks away leaving it just me and Stannson.
I click my tongue. "Well, you have a way with the ladies. We haven't formerly met. I'm Gordon Bombay, coach if Team U.S.A." I introduce myself.
"I know my competition. I know you." Stannson says.
"Yeah, but do you know the real me?" I chuckle a bit and then clear my throat.
"You're full of confidence. Cocky. American. I like that. It will make out triumph even more enjoyable."
"Your triumph?" I ask. "Lighten up a little bit we're all just here to have--" Stannson interrupts me.
"A little fun, right? Don't you worry. We will. We will." He walks away. (I'm sorry but, We will, we will rock you. Even though he takes a break between each word, that's all I think of.) He turns his head and gives me a thumbs up then chuckles.
//Game Against Italy//
Annie Bombay"Its been all Team U.S.A. tonight. They lead Italy six to nothing. They've really dominated this game. Italy with the luck across the line. D'agistino shoots. Glove save by Goldberg."
The crowd cheers and I'm standing beside Goldberg. "Have no fear! Goldberg is here!" He shouts making me laugh. He watches as an Italy player skates by. "Hey, man, there was nothing on that. How about a real shot?" Goldberg places his glove and hockey stick on the net.
I close my eyes and sigh knowing what's gonna happen. "Hey, paisan, meatballs are slowing you down?" He puts his helmet on the net and rests his arm on it. "Uh, how do you say, in Italia no, "wussy"?" He asks the player and he starts shoving Goldberg.
The ref blows his whistle and come sober. "Break it up! Break it up!" The ref pulls him off Goldberg.
"Goldberg!" Coach shouts from the bench. We both look at him.
Goldberg shrugs his shoulders. "What'd I say?" I sigh and bonk Goldberg on the head then skate away.
"Hey, look!" The ref jumps up on the boards his hands holding the top of them and Dean shoves a Italy player into the boards. The referee jumps down and lays on the ice. Fulton gets the puck and shoots it. Everyone moves out the way and the puck goes in, the goalie goes on his knees trying to block it.
