How dare my father gets mad at me for getting everything done that he wants to be done perfectly! I am still a 25-year-old man! And even when I was 13, no one can do everything that he wants perfectly! Chat Noir thinks to himself as he jumps from roof to roof. I have done modeling and fencing for years and now he gets mad! I did not "slack" while modeling or fencing! We don't have enough time for all of the things he wants to get done in one single modeling session!
Chat Noir lands on the same roof as Ladybug, who was daydreaming while looking off at the Paris skyline. When Chat Noir sits down next to her, she looks at him and smiles. Chat Noir smiles back, but it shows that he is sad. Ladybug looks at him worried.
"Is something the matter, kitty?" Ladybug asked and then watched as Chat just continued to stare off into space. She looked at him for a second longer before looking at the street below. "You don't have to tell me. It's probably better that you don't because then you might reveal something about you."
"Trust me. You're the only one I want to tell right now." Chat looked at her and then the city again. "But I'm just in shock."
"Hmm..." Ladybug looked off into the night, thinking about all the things that make her feel better. That's it! His teasing! She smirks and thinks about something that might make him feel better. "You know, I saw something today that I think you would find interesting."
"Oh, really?" Chat didn't budge or show any sign of curiosity. "Go ahead. You can tell me."
"Well, I was walking down the street and I saw a little boy dressed up as you." Ladybug noticed a little smile going on his face from the thought. "And let me just say, he is giving you a run for your money. He might just take your place."
"I have no doubt." Chat looked hurt again and Ladybug mentally scolded herself. "He'd be much better than I am at being Chat Noir."
Ladybug looks at him with hurt in her eyes, she then put her arm around his shoulder, making him stiffen up for a second. But then he got used to the idea and loosened up. She put her other arm around him and pulled him into a side hug. It was awkward, but it made Chat Noir feel a lot better, by just giving him that little piece of affection that he has been longing for since his mother died.
"I'm sorry that I am so bad at jokes." Ladybug mumbled into his shoulder, where her head was. "My father isn't that good, but I like to think that I am like my mother in that instance. Not great at jokes, but can make anyone feel better after something bad happens to them."
"I wish I could meet your parents." Cat Noir looks off at the bright Eiffel Tower, lighten by beautiful lights. He then looks over at Ladybug who was smiling and thinking about her loving parents. "I wish I could meet everyone important to you."
"Aww, thanks kitty." Ladybug blushed and then got serious again. She turned towards him. "The real thing that I wanted to say was that I have always wanted to better at jokes because you have a magical impact when you joke around. You make anyone who is touched by your charm and humor glow. I have never seen anyone who hasn't been a thousand times happier after your jokes."
"Are you being serious?" Chat Noir asks and looks over at his lady. "Because if you aren't, I'm going to...I'm going to..."
"Don't even try, kitty." Ladybug laughed as she watched him fail to think of a threat to put on her. She leaned back on her elbows and looked at the stars. "I would never lie about something like that. You are fully what I described you as and so much more. Anyone who would think otherwise is crazy and doesn't know you then."
My father doesn't know this about me and he definitely doesn't know much about me. Chat Noir thinks as he feels heat rise to his cheeks. After a few seconds, a smirk grows on his face. His signature jokester smirk. Making Ladybug roll her eyes and raise her eyebrows.
"You were right earlier. About how you are bad at jokes." Chat Noir looked over at Ladybug who was now covering her eyes in embarrassment. He took her hands away from her eyes and made her look at him. "You are terrible at jokes. Like, the worst."
"Hey!" Ladybug cried and felt tears start going in her eyes. "I wasn't mean!"
"Besides the joke that sounded like you were breaking up with me!" Chat Noir cried and smiled as Ladybug hit him on the arm, which would have hurt if he was new at being a superhero. She then leaned her head on his shoulder and smiled off into the night sky. "Just some advice, make the joke more uplifting and you'll be fine if you continue going like that. No break-up-sounding jokes. Those aren't funny."
"I wasn't trying!" Ladybug hit him again before putting her head on Chat Noir's shoulder again. But then she started to giggle, making Chat smile despite himself and that he was trying to sound serious. "You should've known that I wasn't breaking up with you! We'd have to be dating for that!"
"What do you mean?" Chat acted like he was taken aback. "I remember you giving a heartfelt confession and saying that I was the only one for you."
"Nice try, kitty." Ladybug rolled her eyes and closed her eyes like she was going to sleep. But then she opened them again. "I hope that whatever was wrong earlier got a little better now that we have talked."
"It always gets better when I'm with you." Chat Noir said and put his arm around her. "No matter what."
