He always wondered, sat down, closed his eyes and hoped the image would stay vivid.
The images were slipping. Those memories of those nights under the stars; they were precious. But no matter how many times he thought back to it - how many times he daydreamed - the memories faded into blurs.
The crowds cheering would always block him from thinking about anything other than now. There was never time to just take a breather and think back to the good old days.
The face he so desperately wanted to never forget became vague and he hated it.
