Getting To Know You Better

Jake and I headed towards the cafeteria after music, and people automatically turned their heads in our direction. Ignoring them I searched for Alexa amongst the crowd. Finding her, I grabbed Jake and yanked his arm, dragging him behind me. Once we made our way through the mob of people surrounding us, I ran toward Alexa and hugged her.

Releasing Alexa introduced the two before walking over to my friend Andrew (Alexa's boyfriend) and stealing his fries.

"Heyyyyyyyy! Those are mine!" Andrew whined like a little boy.

"Well now there mine. Deal with it." I told him.

Shrugging he continued eating his lunch before getting lost I'm his phone. Smirking I turned around and whispered to Jake and Alexa.

"On three we get up as act like we're leaving. Alexa you go up to him and randomly start kissing him so he's distracted. Jake and I will go up behind him and grab his phone, then run away. Got it?"
They both nodded signalling they're understanding.

Alexa walked over to Andrew, sat on his lap, and started making out with him. Jake and I walked up behind him and I counted down from three with my fingers. One..... Two..... Three.....
Quickly yanking Andrews phone out of his hands Jake and I ran away with it.

Laughing and running, outside the door of the school, we ran onto the grassy area. Leading Jake up to the student parking lot, and heading towards the bleachers on the football field I yelled out to Jake, "That was awesome!"

"Yeah it was" he responded.

Reaching the bleachers we collapsed down on the seats in a fit of laughter. Minutes later Alexa and Andrew came running up to us. Andrew looked really pissed, so we acted innocent.

"Yes?" Jake and I asked in unison.

"Give me my phone!"

"Why? What do you have to hide?" I asked curious.

"Nothing, I just don't want you reading my texts."

"Suuuuuuure. Whatever. Here you go." I tossed his phone at him.

The rest of the lunch hour was spent with the four of as just talking and laughing. Being teenagers. Jake got to know the gang better, and they all seemed to get along really well.

When the final bell rang signalling the end of the day, I rushed out of my math class and to my locker. I want to get out of this hell hole as soon as possible. Jakes too busy sucking mouths with the queen bitch to notice me gone so now I can escape. I quickly grab all my school work and other crap, stuff it into my bag, grab my headphones and phone, and walk out the school doors. I decide to walk home today, so I text Alexa and tell her not to wait up for me.

Listening to my songs as I walk peacefully along the sidewalk to get home I hear a loud cars engine. Taking my headphones off, I turn around to see a black Mercedes Benz. The drivers window rolls down revealing a messy haired Jake staring at me.

"Need a lift Princess?"

"No way in HELL, am I getting in a car with you. Especially if you're driving."I hiss.

"Fine. But its gonna start raining soon. By all means, go ahead and walk home in the rain."he replies.

I look up at the sky and sure enough there's low hanging grey clouds about I burst.

"Fine!"I sigh.

Opening the passengers side door I slide into Jakes car. There's faint music playing in the background, but other than that the ride to my house is completely silent and awkward. I always end up stuttering around people I don't know, or ill make myself look completely stupid.

"So, lemme guess. Your current girlfriends right now are all on the cheer squad right?"

"Basically. They jus love my looks and popularity, so why not take advantage of it?"

"Grows! It's guys like you that piss me off. You toy with girls emotions for your own amusement. You'll pretend to be in love with them, then the next day you'll break their hearts. You think that you can play around with whomever you want, and then the next day act like they isn't exist. IT's sickening."

"Funny. You claim I grows you out and piss you off, yet your the one in my car." he smirks.

"Yeah yeah whatever."

With a victorious grin he focuses on the road again. I roll my eyes at his cockyness, and smile to myself. Staring at him I realize how adorable he looks when he's trying to be serious about something. His hair falls over his eyes perfectly, as the sun reflects off his chocolate brown hair making it sparkle and shine perfectly.

"You can stop drooling now Princess. We all know how sexy I am." he smirks looking at me the rear view mirror.

"I wasn't drooling. I was thinking about how much sympathy I feel for all of the girls you toy with. I honestly don't understand how they even fall for your stupid, cheesy pickup lines."

"You know you love me. There's really no use in trying to hide it. I'm just that irresistible."

And that perfect moment suddenly disappeared as his cockiness and huge ego finally kick in, making me wonder f that perfect moment actually existed or if I was day dreaming. His ways at making me feel attracted to him one minute, and completely infuriated with him the next are pretty impressive. He's such a dick!

"If your ego gets any bigger I swear, you head is literally going to explode and then crumble into a billion little smithereens."

Sweet!"he cheers.

"Ugh! Your so stupid!" I groan in frustration.

The rest of the ride is spend in peaceful silence as he pulls up into my driveway.

"Thanks for the ride Jake. See ya!" I call over my shoulder as I walk up the steps to my front door.

"No problem. Hey! Don't forget about our date tomarrow night Princess. Dress casually, but don't show up looking like a hobo like you usually do." he grins.

"Oh shut up! Bye." I call over to him.

And with that I slammed my door shut and as I hear the car engine roar to life. I run up to my room and change into comfy pyjamas, grab a book, and cuddle up in my blankets.

Jake: I have my ways

Me: oh go away

Jake: fine

Jake: sweet dreams Princess. I know ull be thinking of me;)

Me: f off jake

Jake: as u wish my Princess

Me: gn Jake! stop texting me now

Jake: see u tomarrow girlie. I hope ur dreams are full of creepy crawlies and demons that bite ur head off, that way I can come and rescue u like ur prince would;)

Me: gn

Blushing I set my alarm for eleven tomarrow morning since its our day off, and plugged my phone in while tuning it off.
