i thought about them.

Wednesday dawned beautiful and bright
In the room with my own spotlight
Picked up a dress which I liked
Paced down the street
With a sequin smile
Grabbed flowers from a nearby pile
Danced on the bench
Until I turned back
Everyone took notice of what I was doing about
"What is wrong with this lad?"
Saw myself flashback
The giggling girls who saw my damn dress
"Too much smile, oh she is strange
Why is she pacing? she will break a leg
what is with the flowers I don't get?"
Maybe I should think
More like a million times
Before I do anything
Which people think is wild
Dragged down to my house
Cause I was halfway dead
Things don't bother you
Unless you start thinking about them

(PS: i thought writing about this very cheerful girl i assumed her name to be betty after listening to Taylor Swift's song 'betty'. And how she changes her thoughts when she starts caring about what others say about her.
Also, this idea is inspired by my cousin Aaditi. She is one of her kind.
We are just like Betty. We change our opinions when someone else who is more popular or more powerful doesn't appreciate us being UNIQUE. To all the betties in the world 'you are UNIQUE, not different')
