A small town
North to all civilization
Far from any life
Live the people of ⏚⟒⟒⏁⌇
Everyone knows each other
And they are all quite close
So confusion was brought on all of them when things started disappearing
Animals were vanishing
Mostly cats
One day they'd be happy as can be, the next all was left was the collar
People suspected they had run away, but the collars were always neatly placed in the middle of rooms, cats don't do that.
Since everyone knew each other, they had no one to suspect, they were all trustworthy in each other's eyes
Except one person
Someone in the town no one ever speaks to
They have Only ever been seen sitting on a porch chair, with a small locket in handThen they disappear into their home
The town had a meeting, they decided they would confront the lone person, the only suspect
*knock knock knock*
The angry townspeople stood at the weathered door
After a minute or two of waiting, a tall person opened the door, faded pink and blue hair, with piercing holes on their face
One of the townspeople spoke "excuse me, do you happen to know about the recent animal disappearances?"
They stood quietly
"Why are there so many of you..?" they asked tiredly and confused
Another one of the townspeople pushed everyone out of the way "answer the question thief!!" the man accused
"Wow, well my name is Jacoby, nice to meet you too, and i don't know about any animal disappearances.." now known as Jacoby , said
Jacoby and the man stared each other down, the man with his hands angrily on his hips, Jacoby smiling softly and rubbing his neck, from having to look so far down
"Im sorry, but we suspect it was you, since no one else we know could've done it.." a small elderly woman spoke up, he looked down sympathetically "im sorry ma'am, i don't know about any animals, i live all by myself, you all are welcome to look through my house"
They said smiling, this angered the old man "y'know what?! We will!" he pushed the tall fellow out of the way, the woman followed behind him and whispered an apology, Jacoby dismissed it kindly and let the smaller people go ahead.
Once everyone has made their way inside, he sat silently in the corner of the main room, as the people frantically searched for any sign of their beloved felines as Jacoby sat back calmly, waiting for them to give up
After a while of searching, a little girl walked to the tall individual, "hey tall person" she said tugging at their shirt sleeves "yeah?" they asked, smiling "who's that?" she asked obliviously, pointing to a large painting of a lone person, half of the painting ripped and the glass partially shattered.
He shuddered at the thought "my friend" he said smiling slightly, "who?" the young girl asked, he laughed "go help your mom look" the girl smiled and ran off to what he assumed to be her mother.
An hour or two passes and the people are close to giving up, but that old man wasn't done.
He stomped towards the taller man sitting down "can you not step so harshly? The house is old" Jacoby spoke, the man pulled him up by his shirt "who do you think you are?! Coming into our calm community and screwing everything up?! How dare you!" the man scolded.Jacoby simply glared at the angry man, he then stood, towering over the male "I welcomed you into my home, I let you and your people ransack the place- I suggest you watch your mouth, sir" he spoke softly. But loud enough for everyone nearby to hear "alright yall." Jacoby adjusted his posture "it's 'bout time you all head home now, i got things to do, like the lot of you" he spoke gently and greatly to be heard
With protests and grumbled, the townspeople walked out one by one, each one getting home, it was late after all, everyone needed their rest including, Jacoby
He were exhausted, all the research he needed to do, and now that everyone had gathered at his house, he had a lot of work to catch up on..
