In a world where everyone has powers, you can be born with them, develop them, or they can spring up from nowhere. A story like this takes place where some people don't possess any powers at all.

First Person P.O.V (Noah P.O.V)

My name is Noah, and I live on a planet called Terrasphere. Terrasphere is a place where everyone has powers, and you don't have to hide them. Every school teaches you how to control or strengthen them. However, we still have to learn actual school things like math, science, and all those other things people on Earth learn in schools.

OK, now that that's out of the way, let me fully introduce myself. My name is Noah, and I am in high school, an 11th-grader, to be specific. I have two friends named Alexander, Alex for short, and Aria. Alex has water powers, Aria has fire powers, and I haven't discovered my powers yet. They say you can get your abilities when you're born or when you feel deep emotion. However, I didn't get my powers in either of those ways.

They have special classes that help you find your power. So many have seceded, but I, on the other hand, can't even focus hard enough to spark my power.

I looked at my clock to see it was 7 AM and school started at 8 AM. I rushed to get ready and stepped outside to witness Adam trying to race the school bus. Then I saw his friend Oliver running to catch up with them, and he did. Oh, I forgot to tell you Adam can fly and loves to show off and Oliver can run super-fast, like the Flash.

After walking to school, I saw everyone using their powers and showing off new tricks to their friends. I met up with Alex and Aria at school. We started talking about random stuff as we walked down the hall to class. Aria and I had our first-period class together, so Alex said bye to us as he headed toward his class.

Aria and I were walking to our class when we heard two girls talking. "Hey Em, I think I'm getting better at controlling my power," said the girl excitedly.

"Really?! Show me, Ava!" said Emily, also excited.

Ava has ice powers and has a more difficult time controlling her powers than others. As she showed Emily her power she lost control and a ball of ice came hurling at me, the ball barely missed me and hit the locker next to me.

"Oh My Gosh!! I am so sorry Noah, I am still learning!" Ava said kind of yelling but apologetic,

"It's okay Ava, I know you didn't mean to," I said.

"Thanks, see you around Noah" She smiled and waved bye as she walked with her friends to her class.

Ava is caring, kind and pretty, but I don't know if I liked her as a crush or just as a friend. Even if I did like her she wouldn't want to be with someone who doesn't have an ability. Lost in my thoughts I didn't hear Aria calling my name "Noah! Hello? Noah!" she yelled. "Huh? "Oh, yes?" I was confused. "I asked if you were ok," she explained. "Yeah, I'm fine," I assured her.
