13th Day Of The Month of Divinum, Year 457 Of The Magnian Calendar.

Holy Grounds Of The Sacred Grasslands And Coast.

"DIVINUM IS WITH US!"

"AS ALWAYS! GIVE PRAISE! PRAISE TO THE ALMIGHTY GODS!"

"LADY VINALADEA WILL FIGHT WITH US WHEN WE GET THERE!"

It was a powerful moment that would be forever belong to the most special events in the long history of the Empire and its people.

For when the legendary portal between the worlds that was nearly lost in the memories of everyone and only can be found in the stories of the old, materialized seemingly out of nowhere in front of the now bewildered spectators.

The sight was indeed truly glorious as both man and animal-folk alike cheered in excitement. In the next hours, they will fight side by side against whoever might oppose them on the other side which is much to the dismay of Nobles and other higher-people leading the expedition on the other side.

As moments pass by, loud cheers and chants of excitement slowly died down, a man climbing on a large stone gave the killing blow to it. For he is the one that would be placed in command of the grand forces that would soon march across the portal, he is the highly feared war-hero of the Empire, he is Legate Asterius Magnus.

". . . SOON! WE SHALL CONQUER ALL WHAT WILL DARE TO OPPOSE OUR MIGHT! OUR WILL! AND MOST IMPORTANTLY. . . THE LIGHT OF THE GLORIOUS CIVILIZATION!!!" Asterius was no fiery orator but his words delivered his desired message to all men below him. He was there standing on a large stone which served as the stage for his speech.

"GLORY! GLORY! GLORY TO THE EMPIRE!" He added, and as soon as he finished his speech, cheers and chants of approval and excitement exploded once again. No matter if a soldier is a human or a demi-human auxiliary, all cheered equally. Aside from the soldiers, their families are also there to witness the appearance of the portal and to bid farewell and goodluck to their brother, fathers, and anyone that is a member of the Imperial Army.

"Pardon me, my son. I promise to you this campaign will end swiftly. Just pray to the Gods that I shall be in good health while there and that I shall return safe."

"Father, are you sure about this decision!?" a crying voice said. "Think of me! Think of my sister! Think of your people!"

"Once again, I am Duke Antonius Sisivri, I have a duty to the Empire. The Empire is not the nobles who rule in the top. . . the Empire is the people we serve and protect. This expedition is for the sake of people."

"You KNOW what is the TRUE intentions of the Emperor, father. You know what this "expedition" REALLY IS!" the Duke's son boldy stated.

"Think about whatever you want. But I assure you, this is for the future of our people, for your futu- ."

"THEN WHY ARE YOU RISKING YOUR LIFE FOR A QUESTIONABLE MOTIVE!? YOU KNOW! . . . YOU KNOW THAT THE EMPEROR IS DOING THIS BECAUSE- ." before the young man can even finish his barage of words against his father. A Knight under his father's command appeared.

"M'Lord, the Imperial legions are ready. Our Order is also ready." the Knight said with a visible hint of excitement and anticipation in his voice.

"Excellent, I shall be there later. Now good Knight, go back to your comrades and oh, please do tell Legate Asterius that I'll join him soon." the Duke replied in his casual voice.

And with that, the Knight walked off to go back to his unit formation. "You heard that Knight, my son? Did you notice the voice of excitement in his voice? He's an example of what a "Noble" man is . . . ready to go into the unknown so that he can serve the people." the old Duke said in a sincere and light-hearted voice.

"I want you to be like that man." he added. The young Noble couldn't help but only stare in the green grass below him as his father gave him a sermon. "I understand it father . . . just as what mother wished..." in a contrast, the Duke's son replied in a heavy-hearted voice with some dash of anxiety.

The Duke then placed his right hand on the shoulder of his son which in return, the young man raised his head to face his father. "Well, farewell it is then. Take care of your sister. Your uncle will take my place for a while I am gone-" mid-sentence, the old man stopped as he is trying to find whatever reason or promise he will give out to his worrying son. "-I'll send you a letter once I have reached the other side. You know, for assurance of my situation."

"Yes father. Farewell. . . Please return safe to us."

•Neu Valkaria, Capital City Of The Linonian Federation

". . . Yesterday, the attack made by the renegade Prince against the city of Westwood has been proven to be a massive success. The Anglonians barely managed to defend their Capital as the forces of the traitor Prince and the combined forces of Waffen-SU and Heer poured into the city. However, up until this hour, no word of surrender or anything has came out from the Anglonian Royal Family and Royal Army as a whole. . ."

The overall atmosphere in the Valkaria was highly tense, the citizens were just minding their own matters and carrying out their usual day to day tasks but then the speakers that were usually playing propaganda, announcements, and music switched to that of a familiar voice. They all awaited whatever news that voice is going to bring.

It was the voice of the Generallisimo, the ruler of Linonia. "- As we await any news about the current situation, it is expected that THEY WILL surrender any moment now. My dear brothers and sisters, we have endured another war, we won the war and defended our children and the Fatherland. . . GOTT STRAFE ANGLONIA!" he finished the announcement in a grand bombastic voice that successfuly incorporated into his authoritarian voice.

Meanwhile all across the cities of the Federation particularly in Valkaria, the citizens were celebrating despite the fact that there is no official surrender agreement yet. But the "Victory" for the forces of the Valkaria-Kublinsk pact was expected. Only a year and a half ago, the Anglonian army was on the borders of Linonia, but due to the incoming harsh winter and also due to the heroic actions of a single man, the entire advance was halted and the invading army was pushed back.

The citizens celebrated like there is no tomorrow. All unaware of what will happen in that certain day.

For somewhere in an another amalgamation of reality, massive armies identical to that of the ones from the old world are now preparing to march across the two worlds. Their goal is not that of peace and diplomacy but conquest and subjugation of the otherworldly lands which is their destination. . .
