Concequences of a Relationship I: The Invitation

      Chongyun stared at his ceiling in bed, running his fingers through his hair. He had gotten his first commission in Mondstadt but dreaded the thought of going alone. The first person he thought to ask was Xingqiu, but he hasn't gathered the courage to ask yet. He will for sure tomorrow though. The reason he was so scared to ask is because it would be like asking him on a date. Embarrassing, especially if he gets turned down. Wait, it's not a date, so getting turned down isn't a big deal. He's not even gay anyways. He stared blankly at the ceiling above him, just thinking his thoughts.
'It's decided. I'll ask him tomorrow for sure...'
That was his last thought before drifting off into a deep sleep.

      In the morning, Chongyun had to drag himself out of bed and go brush his teeth and change. After doing those things, he left his home and locked the door behind him. He walked to Xingqiu's house and was greeted by his father.
"Hello Mr. Guhua! I'd like to see your son," he stated as formally as possible.
"Which one?" The man asked. Chongyun had forgotten Xingqiu had a brother.
"Xingqiu," he replied. The man called for Xingqiu, and then a few seconds later, footsteps could be heard coming down the stairs. Chongyun tried to see who it was, but the man was just too... large. The footsteps got closer and Xingqiu burst through the door, almost knocking Chongyun down.
"Oof!" Chongyun grunted as he was nearly pushed down by his friend. Xingqiu laughed and got his own balance back. His father watched from the door way, before silently going inside and shutting the door again.
"Anyways, did you need something, my liege?" Xingqiu asked. Every time Xingqiu called Chongyun 'my liege' it gave Chongyun a warm feeling deep down.
"Yeah actually. I got a commission all the way in Mondstadt! Do you wanna come?" He explained happily. Xingqiu gasped.
"Of course!" He was overjoyed by the invitation.
"Oh, but I have to ask my father... it's fine, I'm sure he won't mind!" Xingqiu said.
"Great! We need to leave in 3 days, so be ready!" Chongyun warned as he began to walk away so he could get ready himself. 'I'm so excited!' he thought, 'it's a good thing Xingqiu was available... I hope his dad says yes..." Chongyun shook his head to rid his mind of the negative thoughts that were starting to take over. 'I need to be ready for the day we leave,' he thought. 'First, I need something to wear.'
