Explanation of an Omegaverse

Okay, if you know what an 'Omegverse' is, you can skip this, but if you have questions, your questions will be answered. :)

Omegaverse, also known as A/B/O, is a subgenre of speculative erotic fiction, and originally a subgenre of erotic slash fan fiction. Stories in the genre are premised on societies wherein humans are divided into a dominance hierarchy of dominant "alphas", neutral "betas", and submissive "omegas".

  -Alpha: When an Alpha bites an Omega that is known as a claim mark. So as the name implies, by biting on an Omega's scent glands what the Alpha is doing is claiming them as their Omega. Before an alpha becomes an 'Alpha' on his/her/their 17th birthday, they will become very aggressive towards others and they become some-what submissive towards their soon-to-be mate.
  -Omega: Omegas are the softer and more gentle of these roles. They are the nurturing parents who raise their children and they are the only ones in here who can get pregnant besides Beta females. The female Omegas use their systems as normal, getting pregnant that way and then nurturing the child like they should. Omegas can get pregnant regardless of their first gender(Male or female). Heat: When pre-heat ends, the Omega goes immediately into heat. Heat lasts from 4-7 days, and begins with fever, mild cramping, increased slick, and increased pheromone production. The increased pheromones are biology's way of luring mates, and it signals to any Alphas in the area that the Omega is fertile.
  -beta:Betas are the normal, everyday guy. They can still breed with other Betas, but they cannot breed with Omegas or get them pregnant. With a female and male Beta, they can reproduce that way. Sometimes even a female Alpha and a female Beta would be able to reproduce.
