Chapter 7: The meeting

Laughter filled the room. The atmosphere became much smoother and more bearable.

Compared to before, everyone felt a bit more relaxed now.

"Shall we begin the meeting?"

The crown prince suggested.

"Your highness, it is up to you to decide."

Seprios, governor of Ludav replied.

The other governors agreed with Seprios' words.

"Very well, then we shall officially begin the meeting."

The crown prince ordered the servants to clear the table and dismissed them.

"Now then, I'm sure you've all herd rumors of suspicious individuals lurking around our territory for a while now."

The governors nodded their heads.

"Recently, our scouts have found a group of individuals conspiring with our enemy."

The crown prince's eyes became sharp.

"Our west alliance and the Eastern alliance are currently on extremely thin ice. A war could break out any time soon and the casualties will be numerous."

"And so, we must maintain the balance between us and the eastern forces."

The crown prince sweeped his eyes across everyone present.

"And now, there are spies within our country. I'm sure you all are aware what your task is this time?"

"Yes, your highness."

Seprios obediently replied.

"Very good, now I want a report on the town you all govern and its events."

"Bilue has seen no suspicious activity of any sort, we have guards surrounding the gates constantly for 24 hours straight. There is no suspicious activity among the citizens thus far."

Bell informed the crown prince.

"Rupergia has seen a few suspicious individuals lurking around during night, however it has been confirmed to be merely drunkards. However, I will investigate further when I return."

Lyza obediently said.

"Vivida has no issues either, it has been a very peaceful period of time for us."

Dion said.

"No issues with Ludav either."

Seprios replied.

The same went for Arthur of Artoria and Xion of Xenon.

Vortex of Vortia was up next to speak.

"We did indeed spot suspicious individuals residing within the town. We are currently investigating the issue and have suspicions of guards being involved."

The crown prince looked grim. Not only was the enemy residing within their country, the enemy was very close by as well.

The crown prince thought for a few seconds before signalling for them to continue.

"We have heard nothing of this rumor as Orion is much more secluded from the other towns."

Oli told the crown prince with crossed legs.

"Linus had nothing either."

Replied Lux hastily.

"Our scouts in Rias spotted a few of the men and managed to capture a few of them."
