Nightmares Unleashed

1: The Myth

"Legend says that a team attempted to go to the center of the Earth most never returned, for all we know no one ever made it. However a man with a unicorn horn had came out. Some speculate it was a man that was leading the investigation, as they had the same color hair and eyes. But their clothes and hair style changed completely." Dexter explained, pretty excited as if it wasn't a myth at all.


 This was my brother Dexter. I was in high school still in my Sophomore year and he started college already. So for him to be so hyped up about a seemingly little fairytale is unlike him. Unless maybe there's some truth to it. So I kept the possibility in mind despite being very skeptical. 

"So basically what you're saying is he was wearing a completely new uni-form?" I said while trying to hold a little bit of laughter back.

"You could say that, yeah. Supposedly someone has tried to interview him about what was at the center. All he said was that it wouldn't make sense to many people and that it felt too fantasy like. The whole thing felt like a dream to him. Of course most of the videos of the interview have been taken down and I was lucky to even get to hear some of it." He continued to explain. 

I was intrigued, a bit of evidence that I might be able to actually get my hands on to finally understand what he was saying. That is of course if all of it was true. I still had my doubts, as one would. So I decided to take my time listening to what all else he had to say. 

"I'm pretty sure he mentioned that he was worried that someone else would go down there, which is why he avoided so many and wanted to keep many details private."

I decided to ask who might've had a copy of the video. "Well, one of my professor's" he responded. I was genuinely curious as to if he had any evidence to such claims he was making so I pushed a bit further "Do you think he'd ever let me see it?" I asked, pretending to be curious. I was kind of testing him to see if he'd prove any bit of what he was saying.

"Well to be completely honest, I doubt it. Considering he was even reluctant to show me it. That and why would he show a minor something classified like that?" That got me thinking, 'If this was real and that was classified why was it? Could there be more to the story that unveiled and that we don't know about?' I decided to brush it off, I was still yet to believe any of it.

I decided to start on homework and stuff. Boring Math and History stuff. Though one thing stuck out to me the most.

"In North Ancient Egypt there use to be a library owned by Alexandria made by the great minds of years back such as: Homer, Plato, Socrates and all the great philosophers of that time era at that time were documented. It had been burnt down some thousand years ago." 

I also vaguely remember something about the fact that they use to research stuff about in Ancient Egypt that some of sitings Archaeologist were investigating had believed those were to Ancient Stargates or portals of some kind. 

I began thinking of something that had now become a current goal of mine to prove him wrong about all of this. 'Not sure why I'm thinking of this fact now but maybe people with knowledge of Ancient Egypt and that library would possibly have some knowledge in what is at the center? So basically Archeologists and such. Dextur might know one.' 

I than spent time studying Math. Pre-Algebra and Geometry. My dad came in, I was starting to get stressed and he certainly picked up on that "Hey, why don't you take a break and I'll take you to the mall and watch a movie, or you can go to your friends house it's totally up to you" I thought about it despite being a really hard choice but I thought why not do both?

I called my friends up 1 by 1 and invited them over to the mall with my father and myself. After that we had planned to go ahead and look around and go to the arcade, perhaps getting a bite to eat afterwards. I'm certain it'll be a fun night, to be completely honest I was looking forward to it. After that of course it's back to studying. I sighed at the thought of that 'But, atleast I can enjoy the moment of relaxation I have right now while I have a chance.' So I did exactly that.
