The air around here smells sour. But inside is even worse. When inside it becomes even harder to control.
Booby took one last drag of his cigarette before stamping it out. He'd already decided he's never go back in there - not alive anyway. Not this time. Eyes looking up to the grey sky he rubbed his cold hands together and started thinking about heading home.
Strangely he noticed a figure shuffling though the field towards school. A figure he thought he recognized.
"Cannon. Hey, Cannon!" Booby called out, taking out his earplugs as the final notes of unravel faded away. Cannon stopped, shifting his gaze from the looming school he had previously been making a beeline for.
Booby waved his hand as a greeting as Cannon started moving towards him
"Well if it isn't Booby." Cannon's face split into a grin. "You fucker, I heard you got suspended for telling the teacher you were gonna kill her family in front of her eyes."

Booby sighed. So, even Cannon had heard. Stupid teacher couldn't keep her mouth shut. "That ended yesterday, and no that... that wasn't *me*. I... Sometimes I... It's not me saying that stuff."
Cannon pulled a puzzled face
"....Never mind." Booby muttered. He wasn't about to explain this again. Especially not the the guy who was caught with porn in his locker.
"Anyway Cannon, why are you out of school." Booby asked, not even sure he wanted to know the answer. He just wanted to change the subject.
"Huh? Oh, I just overslept. Was up last night playing this new video game from Japan. The graphics are... really something. Hey, if you want me to lend it to you, I'm sure you would enjoy it. Heh."
Booby smiled. "No thanks, I'm good." He already regretted calling out to Cannon.
"Ah shit ok then. Well I better get going, don't want that bitch Ms. xxx catching me late again. Though she has a fat ass I'll admit."
"Oh shit."
"What? Why surprised? You don't agree?"
"No, not that. She's coming over here now."
This was bad. Booby wasn't getting out of here now. Cannon looked over his shoulder
"Ahaha, guess I'm fucked now" he laughed.
As the shrill voice of Ms. xxx reached Booby's ears, he closed his eyes and tried to enjoy his last few breaths of freedom.
