Zelda moved lazily, swinging her leg over Lilith's hips and pushing herself up to straddle the Queen of Hell, reaching behind her to grab the blanket of raven feathers and pull it around her shoulders like a cloak. Her naked skin luminescent against the jet black streaked with dark plums and barely-there hints of jade. She tried to ignore the creamy expanse of Lilith's flesh beneath her, not wanting to be distracted as time seemed to be of the essence now that they were aware of impending doom.
"Don't you think you're a key to the eschaton as well, Lilith?" Zelda tilted her head, "After all, you also refer to yourself as the Dawn of Doom. Doom, presumably, being the End of Time...and obviously, the Dawn being the Beginning. So are you not the Beginning of the End of Time?"
"If it truly is the Upir who will bring about the Apocalypse then I suppose you are correct. It was I who created Alukah, the First Upir; without me, Eve would simply be dust like Adam before her." Lilith grimaced in disgust at the mere mention of his name.
Unable to help herself, Zelda bent at the waist and her teeth landed against the tender underside of Lilith's breast. Zelda's experience with vampires had been fleeting but memorable and from that moment, several centuries ago, she had always been intrigued by them; the knowledge that Lilith created them aroused her and her hips moved against her lover's as her teeth nipped and dug into her flesh. She smiled as Lilith's back arched and she sat up slightly, pressing her palm against the witch's sternum, thrusting her back against the bed; "So what happened after you turned Eve?"
Lilith growled, her fingers digging into Zelda's thighs from her position below her. Her icy blues trailed slowly over the redhead's curves, appreciating the powerful vulnerability that pinned her to the bed, playful and non-threatening; a refreshing change. She sat up, moving beneath Zelda to lean back against the onyx-made headboard, gripping the witch's hips and pulling Zelda tighter into her lap; "She ran from me. The experience of being turned was too intimate and violent all at once. It terrified her. The changes in her body confused her and the pain of her humanity dying was too overwhelming. She couldn't process it. Before I could teach her anything, she ran."
"You couldn't catch her?" Zelda pulled the raven feathered blanket tighter around her body, holding Lilith's gaze.
The Queen of Hell's smirk melted into a soft chuckle, "No my darling. I am many things, but faster than a vampire is not one of them."
Sliding her arms around Zelda, Lilith pulled her down to rest against her, idly threading her fingers through the witch's thick vermillion mane; "The world is vast - even more so when it was wilder than it is now. Eve was turned in the Paleolithic era, a dangerous and unstable time during the great wars between the Neanderthals and Denisovans. It was difficult to travel in those times with differing tribes often in conflict over land resources...."
Lilith stroked through Zelda's hair as the witch listened to her Sovereign's calming voice, purring as she enjoyed the safety she felt in her Queen's arms; "....not to mention the megafauna roaming free. Traveling within sight of mastodons, sabre tooth tigers, giant ground sloths, and wooly mammoths, was nearly a suicide mission."
"You're the First Woman, the Mother of Demons, the Dawn of Doom - surely nothing could threaten you?" Zelda murmured sleepily against her lover.
"Ah, that's just it my darling. Everything was a threat to me, I was targeted and hunted by Adam and his followers. His followers convinced the other species of humans that I was to be feared so they too hunted me. It wasn't until several millennia later that I was taught the Art of Magick and how to harness my very particular powers. You see, Zelda Spellman, you were born a Witch from a long, proud line of matriarchs before you. You had guidance and knowledge that I wasn't privy to in the beginning. I knew I was -more than- the Neanderthals and Denisovans, clearly more intelligent and cunning but not stronger than them. I experienced pain and illness, much like humans. I had no cause to believe I couldn't be extinguished and so, searching the globe for Eve was less of a priority than ensuring my own survival."
