It was the first day back at school since spring break, and I was anticipating graduating. Goodbye high school, here i come uni! It was bittersweet. I knew I'd miss my friends, but I'd always remember them, and i was excited for a new start and upgrade with my life. I looked forward to college, i wanted to meet new people. My outfit today included a white tank top on with 'angel' across it and some pink sweatpants. My parents were downstairs in the kitchen, making breakfast. I saw my two little sisters eating eggs, sausage, and waffles. My momma looked up at me and flipped the sausages in the skillet. "You want a plate before you go?" She asked me, placing the now brown sausages on the plate. "Yeah, ma, thanks," I said, grabbing the plate she made for me and heading to my car.

I played sum summer walker and headed to school. Thankfully, I wasn't late, and I could talk to the coach about our upcoming game before class. When I made it, I had l went straight to the coaches office. "Hey, coach," I said quietly, knocking on her door alarming her. She got up and walked to me. "Morning princess, what's up?" I smiled and stepped in her office."I wanted to know if we're playing Mississippi for the game on Friday, " I curiously asked. "Yeah, we are," she confirmed. "Okay thanks coach" she sat back in her seat and sipped her coffee. "No problem, Ms. Harris, " I closed her door and went to class. I could see Arianna flirting with her nappy headed ass boyfriend who was also in my seat, I rolled my eyes and walked over to them. "Ari." I abruptly interrupted, clearing my throat. She looked up at me, twisting a curl in his head, and they both laughed. "Um, this is MY seat." I reminded her cause she acted like she forgot. She slightly rolled her eyes and glanced at Darius. He got up and sat at the top row. "Damn gee, you couldn't just sit somewhere else?" She asked. I looked at her like she was crazy "naw, you know, dis my seat." I bluntly said, staring dead into her eyes. She mumbled something but kept quiet. Then Dante and his stank ass friends came up to my desk. "If it ain't the princess ha self," he said, trying to get my attention. "Dante." I said dryly. The teacher had seen Dante distracting me and looked at us. "Mr. Carmichael, you're on thin ice, I advise you to take a seat." Mr. Hathaway warned. Dante groaned and sat down across from me, making me smirk at him. "Yeah, Dante, thin ice!" Namir teased. Namir was a biracial girl on the basketball team, she light skin, with long curly locs, hazel eyes, and had a lean tall figure. Right beside her was Cameron and Royalty. They were a couple, and they were both on the basketball team, the freakiest couple I've ever seen. Cameron a stud and royalty a stem. Destiny was sitting in my row just listening to music in her headphones and writing down the notes. She was on the cheer team. She always has a new boyfriend every week.

After writing a full essay draft, I finally got a break until my next class. "Diamond!!" I heard. It was Lexus. Lexus is one of my best friends. She's hella sweet and loyal, but she's not the smartest in love. She forgives easily and falls hard. She likes going shopping and she has a boyfriend, Jamarion. Another nappy headed ass little boy who I can't stand. I don't even know how she can deal with his ass. He's a handful. After the first interactions with him, I would've left. Maybe im impatient in the eyes of my friends, but I call it standards. "Yeah," I said. "You wanna come wit me and Jamarion to Nyema party tonight?" I gave her a sympathetic look and started walking "nah I can't, I gotta finish my paper that's due next Monday, "

She scrunched up her eyebrows and folded her arms "girl why can't you just finish that shit on Friday or sum?" She said so simply. "I have a game Friday, Saturday. I plan on going to the beach house for that party, and on Sunday, I'll be busy doing some other shit." she signed and unfolded her arms. "Finne." We both had the next class together, so we walked together. Nyema was down the hall arguing with Namir as always. "This is MY party . TF You mean you having one, too?!" Nyema screamed. "Whatchu mean what I mean? I'm having a damn party!" Namir retorted. "Naw you ain't, ion even know why you would try that petty ass shit, Namir you know I was throwing a party" all of a sudden Nyema grabbed Namir hair and rocked her face, Namir kicked Nyema and slapped her cheek. Nyema is captain of the dance team, Namir is on the dance team, and they always get into it about something. I just laughed and headed to class. When I stepped in, my eyes met pretty dark eyes staring back at me.

"Yo, Ray" Cameron called out to dark-brown skinned girl, I had to admit she was fine. I never call too many people fine unless I really like them, but she was F.I.N.E

"Rayyyyy" Royalty exclaimed. The class was soon dismissed and Cameron, Kiara, Royalty were surrounding the fine stud.
"Who is she? And why is everyone talking to her?" I thought. She was staring at me with her dark brown eyes and I just lightly blushed leaving the classroom.
I left down the hall and back to my homeroom. I shared homeroom with Lexus. Luckily, she know how I am about her and her boyfriend, so they never try stupid shit and nobody else tries Goofy shit. Most people were focused on graduating and getting out of here anyway. She knows I dont play that shit. Cameron shares a room with Royalty Nyeema and shares a room with Namir. And Destiny shares a room with the fine stud.

I left the dorm and started walking down the hall. "Hey gorgeous" I heard someone say from behind me. It was Namir leaving from Cameron and Nyema room. "Hey" I grinned at her. "Aye you goin to Nyema party?" She asked. "Nah I got a paper that's due" I told her looking up at her. "Damn." She said "well I'll ttyl" she said leaving me. I was down at the food court when I saw Destiny and Lexus flirting with some boys. 🙄As usual. "Aye, shorty one of the boys called out. "Boy......" I let out. I waved at Lexus and Destiny and kept walking, they waved back at me. I felt a lot of eyes staring at me and I could see the boys staring at my ass. I left to the parking lot and started up my car. I drove to my sister's house. "Hey Maiya!" I said getting out the car.  She opened her door "Hey sis"
I went inside and we sat on the couch. "How's college been doin u?" She asked. "Good, so far" I told her.
2 hours later, we finished talking and I soon left to my condo to start on my paper. I set up my computer and grabbed my notebook and pen. I grabbed my glasses and put them on scrolling on my computer. Jhené Aiko
