it was 1963 Nashville Tennessee it was a warm summer on monday july 12th.
———-elvis was just about 20 years old looking for a job or a gig at a night club to play his music in and to make money so he could buy himself a car and a house too since he was still living with his parents.
he thought to himself "maybe i shoud get two jobs one for the mornings and one at night."
he then walks into a dinner called Denny's opens the door to the place and finds a seat to sit on then picks up a menu looking at the food they had.
a lady who works there greets him and pulls out her little book and pencil from her dress.
"hello sir what would you like to order?"
he looks up at her noticing her pretty outfit which was a light blue dess with white checkers on it and was also wearing small white heels and her hair up in a poneytail.
"i think i'd like to get a turkey bacon sandwitch, a stack of panckes and coffee with milk and sugar." he finishes his order.
she writes all of it down and then walks away and goes to the cook and gives him the paper.
elvis finds a napkin and starts to write on it.
thinking up some lyrics....'are you lonesome tonight..'
the lady comes back and poors him a cup of coffee.
"whatcha writing on there sunny?" she asks him.
"oh just trying to come up with some lyics for a song." he looks at her and smiles then took a sip of his warm coffee.
"ooh are you in a band?" she questions him.
"nope I'm not in a band but i am looking for a job." he responds back to her question.
"y'know we are low staffed here would you like to work here? she smiles at him.
he looks at her with a happy face with his blue eyes lighting up.
"that would be great yes when can i start working?"
"you can start tomorrow at 3pm" she tells him.
"thats great! i'll try to get here on time then." he was incredibly thrilled how he landed a job after going to so many places in his hometown to find one.
"great! i'll show you all the ropes on how to take orders and all then, also whats your name sunny?" she asked her head tiled
"elvis presley ma'am"
" elvis thats a handsome name." she winks at him.
he blushes. "awh thank you." he reads her name tag on her dress, "annie"
"you're welcome elvis, also just call me ann." she smiles at him.
"ann you have a really beautiful name." he winks at her, his famous dimple smile showing off.
'aw thank you, you're too kind." she bows her head down a little showing a bright smile she then walks away to check to see if his food was ready to serve.
he then begins to write more of his song.
