Alan frog

As I walked into the comfortably familiar shop once again, I turned my head around every corner, searching for at least one of the frog brothers to annoy.

My eyes lit up when they wandered over to the counter to find Alan writing something in a binder. I walked up casually pretending I was just a regular customer so he didn't look up.

"Wow I love vampires" I stated plainly. His head sprung up, but all the hope from his eyes faded when he saw me. He thought I was another potential vampire hunter, but no, I swear I do this every time and he just never realises .

"Ugh come on n/n, you know how badly we need another recruit don't fuck around" he whined.

"Ohhh calm your shit well find someone"

For as long as I can remember it had just been me Alan and Edgar. Although the boys weren't affectionate, I would still describe us as best friends. Our parents "hung out" since we were babies every day. By "hung out" I mean that they are high 100% of the time, so we all run the comic book store together anyway.

It's not a sad story at all, I like living like this, my two best friends (although they would never say those words out loud) and running a comic shop together, being together 99% of the time and, oh, did I mention, killing vampires together. What more could a 14 going on 15 year old want? Right?

"Cheer up" I said and started stocking more books on the shelf.

"I'm sure the next recruit will come bursting through the door" I said sarcastically.

Next thing we knew the bell chimed letting us know someone else had entered the shop. I smirked at Alan and he did the signature scowl face that he did so well. I saw Edgar checking him out from the other pillar in the shop, also with a binder in his hand.

"He's cute" I said dreamily.

He had puffed blonde hair, and a long, kinda ugly jacket and a very oversized shirt.

Alan growled again but this time looking at the boy. Edgar Alan and I all shared a glance, indicating that we were going to walk over to the kid.

"Hi, you looking for something in particular?" I said in a cheery way. It wasn't overly dramatic but I was acting. We have this sort of good cop bad cop thing when there's a new customer, and they tend to follow me more since I'm a girl.

"Ummm, yeah, I-uhh" he stumbled for his words as he looked up to see me standing in front of him.

"My names y/n but everyone calls me n/n"
His face flushed red after he realized how long he was babbling for.

"Uh, Sam- yeah I'm-uh I'm Sam" he offered a bashful smile which I thought was pretty cute, however Alan didn't so much. There he goes his little growl shit he does, it's weird but it's actually kinda cute.

Alan shoved me behind him while Edgar stabilized me, I gave Alan a shit look but it was to the back of his head.

"So what exactly were you looking for city boy" Alan enquired.

"Well I was talking to n/n, but I was interrupted, mind if I continue the conversation." He sassed.

"Look, I see you have the hots for n/n here, but guess what you don't know shit buddy"

Edgars eyes widened slightly as he had never seen Alan so defensive over nothing. Sam looked pretty shocked, not quite threatened, but shocked. He opened his mouth and took a breath in but as he was going to say something Alan spun around and grabbed my hand. He didn't say anything but I stumbled along side him until we reached the back room behind the counter.

"Alan what the hell is going on with you?"

He stood there silently looking about, everywhere but me. He looked like he was bursting, wanting to say something but couldn't.

"Look. n/n, you how I hate feelings so can I just do something real quick"

I nodded, slowly confused on what was going on. He stood there for another second.

"Hey Alan, if-"

I didn't finish my words as they got cut of by Alan's lips slamming into mine, it was almost euphoric, never in a million years would I have guessed, Alan and I, a few inches apart because of the size of the back room, that's was more like a broom closet.

I didn't hesitate to kiss back, and he let his body melt the tenseness away. His arms slowly moved to my waist and mine to his neck.

When we pulled away, we rested our foreheads on one another's and smiled.

Jealousy really does make people crazy.
