Chapter 29

They say when you love someone,you give them opportunities all over again to prove themselves,not because you don't know what the out come of those opportunities would be,but because you just want to be proven wrong especially when you know that you are being hurt by your loved ones.

I couldn't look my mum in the eyes anymore cause I know she has betrayed me, but the reasons why she kept on doing it is something I don't understand.

How could a mother do so much hurtful things to her child,and still have the heart to look her in the eyes and tell her she loves her? How?, I would never do that to my son's, never.

"Alia we need to talk"zion said and brought me out of my train of thoughts.

I couldn't come down again last night after what I heard in the garden, when Mrs knight came to call me,I told her I wasn't feeling too well so I'll skip dinner, or thou she refused in the beginning but eventually she allowed me,on the condition that I was going to take some fruits instead,which I did.

"I'll talk to you when you start telling me the truth zion Enrique Knight, when you start telling me the TRUTH"I said as tears began to form at the banks of my eyes.

I was exhausted already, wrapping my head around everything that was going on around me was the draining me,I had no one to talk to cause they were all lying to my face,it's hard to have no one,you know.

"What truth Alia? Ask me anything and I'll explain"he said.

I didn't come down for breakfast this morning cause I had no plans on seeing my mother,it made me feel bad cause the more I try to avoid her it only means I get to see my kids less cause she was always with them,it was disheartening.

"Zion do you know Ace"I asked and turned to face him.

His brows knitted into a frown and I could see his jaw clenching,he held eye contact with me for a while before looking away, and with that I knew he knew who ace was, and there was so much more.

"Yes,I know him,and you shouldn't know him"he said.

"Did you kill his sister"I asked.

"Who told you that"zion asked and his friend deepened the more.

"Yes or no zion?"I asked as calmly as I could.

I was exhausted already,I couldn't sleep cause my head was flooded with thoughts,I didn't even have the strength to argue with him, I just wanted the truth and nothing more.

"I know who Ace is, if you call him Ace it only means you don't even know him,and No I didn't kill his sister even tho he doesn't believe me"zion said and ran his fingers through his hair,in frustration.

"Then explain it to him"I said.

Zion busted out into laughter which made me confusedwhich made me confused,he laughed for a whole one minute then stoped.

"You don't EXPLAIN to people like him Alia,they only understand violence"he said.

"The woman you were talking to at the naming,is she somehow connected to him?"I asked.

"Yes she is,now I need you to do something for me alia,I beg you in the name of anything you believe in, stay away from Ace, please"he said.

"I can't"I said and turned my back to him

"Why?"he asked and moved closer to me.

"I'm part of all this now zion,I'm part of that world"I said and turned to face him.

The expression on his face was painful as my words began to sink in,there was confusion and pain and anger in his eyes all at once,he took a step back ward and stood there looking at me.

"Say something" I said.

"Alia please tell me you are joking,please tell me what you just said is a lie Alia"he said

"I'm not,I'm part of it now,I'm wearing the ring zion,look"I said and showed him the ring on my finger.

"I'll kill him!,I'll kill him I swear for bringing you into this!"zion said angrily and kicked the bed.

"He didn't bring me into it,I joined it to protect my son's"I said.

"Protect?,protect them from who exactly! What am I here for! What do you think I have been doing for the past one year! Why do you think I disappeared in the first place!"zion shouted at me.

"How do you expect me to bloody know your reasons or what you do,when you never tell me!!!"I shouted back at him.

"So you ran into the arms of another man for protection?! What else did you do? Warm his bed maybe!"he said and I Slapped him.

"How dare you zion Enrique Knight speak so low of me,how dare you!"I said as tears began to roll down my face.

"I'm sorry Al,I....I......how could you go to him for protection when you have me"he said.

"Do I have you?,do I have someone who does nothing but keep secrets from me? Do I have you? You bastard!"I said as anger began to build up in me.

"Yes you do"he said.

"When?when I was in coma? Or when you got me pregnant? Ohh or maybe it's when you disappeared for six months plus when I was pregnant that I had you zion!!!!,when have I ever had you?!!"I shouted at him in annoyance.

He couldn't say a word,he stood there looking at me,but he couldn't say anything after that,and after few minutes he left my room,I didn't know how to describe my feelings right now,I was angry,I was sad,I was frustrated,I was in pain but above all, I was scared,I was scared for my children,this was never how I planned my life to be,this wasn't what I wanted,this life.....this life wasn't what I imagined.

The sound of my ringing tone brought me out of that awful moment I was going through,I checked the caller id and it was an unknown number.

"Hello"I said

"Alia Trey Bailey"an encrypted voice said on the other end.

I rolled my eyes, what was this? A holly wood movie?

"Who is this?"I said not wanting to waste anymore time,I was going through alot already as it is.

"The answers to you questions"the person said.

"What do you want"I asked nonchalantly I wasn't really in the mood.

"There's a parcel waiting for you at the gate,pick it up,open it ,then you will get a little answers from it"the person said and ended the call.

Immediately I left my room and headed down stairs,Mrs victoria was with my son's, and as quickly as I could I greeted her and ran outside the house to the gate.

"Ma'am this came in for you"the security said immediately he saw me.

"Thanks"I said and collected it.

And opened it Immediately, but I couldn't believe what I saw in it,it was definitely not the answers I was thinking I would find, it was.....
